Restaurants near Ouray Alchemist and Penthouse Suite

This was our first time to 221 South Oak. We are from Boston and have eaten at many fantastic restaurants in the major east coast cities. 221 South Oak is as good, if not better, than most of them. The room was quite cosy and had the look and feel of being in our hosts home. The menu ingredients were locally sourced, remarkably fresh, and combined in ways that were both inventive and delicious. Every dish we had was remarkable - and left us impressed with both the presentation and flavor profiles. The service was equally excellent. Kelsey was attentive, knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and was our guide thru a remarkable evening. This was one of our best dining experiences in recent memory. We were impressed!

Lance & Nico helped us, and we didn’t even notice when they swooped in and grabbed our plates. Our wine selection from Katie was perfect. Recommend Allreads for every visit!

Always superlative!!! Exemplary service (Thank you, Miles), perfectly cooked steaks, wide variety of appetizers, entrees and sides what’s not to love? We take every one who visits us!

Everything was awesome besides our server. He came across as very arrogant. He’s the sommelier at the Peaks as well and was extremely snooty. Service was fine, but his attitude was average at best. Everything else was spectacular.

Amazing restaurant! Our family had an amazing experience in the Western. Excellent service from a ‘Georgia Belle’ and also from the hostess. Food was incredible especially the steaks and lamb bolognese. The restaurant is beautiful. Must visit while in the area!
