Elizabeth and I were very excited to open our restaurant in Downtown Stuart. After years of visiting our parents our hearts led us back here each time we considered a different location. Our son Taylor (our Executive Chef) and I, both have a culinary education and all three of us are extremely passionate about quality food,drinks and hospitality. We thoroughly enjoy taking great care of our guests. “the Gafford” is named after my grandparents who taught us how to enjoy life, have fun and laugh (especially at ourselves). My grandfather was in the Air Force and hospitality business all of his life and taught me so much about business, cooking and hospitality. I can remember when I was young visiting my grandparents on their farm. My grandfather used to teach me how to grill. My favorite dish to cook together was a giant Ribeye steak. On our menu, that is our signature item and we call it “the Gafford.” Welcome to the Gafford where casual meets upscale.

Delicious boeuf bourguignon under the starts. Classic french at a lovely waterside location. It was busy but had made a reservation. Kitchen was slow but our french waiter kept us informed, apologized for the delay and then gave us dessert gratis. Crème brûlée and chocolate mousse…yum!

It was absolutely perfect evening! Dave always takes such good care of us and this time I decided to take Gramma for dinner. She loved it! The food was on point and the staff pleasant and professional as always. Gramma enjoyed her keylime coconut libation. Good recommendation Dave. We reserved a table of 5 for Christmas dinner for 5:15. We were seated at 5:20. Lukesha, the server was fantastic, she was pleasant, polite and checked on us alot to see how everything was and if we needed anything. The food was on point. The steak was cooked perfectly. The lobster and seafood broil over linguini was exceptional. Definately a 5 star dinner. Lukesha deserves 5 stars also.
