Restaurants near Plantation Garden

Great atmosphere, really buzzy when we arrived. We had a good table where we could people watch. The service was good, food and drink outstanding. The bill was reasonable considering what we ate and drank. Would certainly recommend and next time we are in Norwich we will visit again.

This is the second time I have celebrated at The Assembly House for another birthday. This time, it didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, we were 40 minutes late (which i did call to update them), but they were so accommodating and welcoming. The only thing I would say is this time we were situated in a smaller room (in the bigger room previously). Even though it's still beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is not so relaxing. The young lady who waited on us was very happy, polite, and kept asking us if we would like more tea, sandwiches, or anything else. The most wonderful thing is that we could have a vegan afternoon tea. I could not have asked for more. Sandwiches were fresh with delicious fillings, and other vegan savoury items were wonderful, too... The CAKES, even though they are mini, they were so fresh, delicious taste, and the extra touch of little decorations made it feel extra special!!! I am hoping that I might get another afternoon experience this year 🙏. Thank you so much 💓

We ordered our drinks and our meal together and got the food first after about 35 minutes. I had to remind them about the drinks which then came quickly. Evidently there was only very hardworked person on the bar in a large busy restaurant Maybe a staff member didn't show for work today? The staff were all very nice, I just think there may not have been enough of them.

The food is absolutely amazing. The staff were so lovely and the barman made a birthday cocktail and shot for my boyfriend which was such a lovely gesture. He was also very funny and def the star of our visit - although Mia the server and the guy bringing out the meat were also both lovely. Will 100% be coming back!!
