- IIgorOttawa •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoEl Xolo, located within the Museum of Anthropology in San Salvador, offers a unique dining experience that blends exceptional Latin American flavors with a setting steeped in tradition. The restaurant’s location adds an extra layer of allure, surrounded by the rich cultural backdrop of the museum. The ambiance is thoughtfully curated, with decor that reflects the region’s heritage, making it the perfect spot for those seeking not only a meal but an immersive cultural experience. The menu at El Xolo features a variety of small plates, each showcasing the diversity and depth of Latin American cuisine. Though the portions are modest, the quality of the ingredients and the complexity of the flavors are undeniable. Every dish bursts with freshness, from perfectly grilled meats to vibrant ceviches and creative twists on classic Latin American comfort foods. The cocktails are another highlight, well-crafted and reasonably priced for the caliber of the drinks. They provide a great complement to the food, with many options highlighting local spirits and flavors. However, one downside is the steep price for water—at $7 for a 750ml bottle, it feels a bit excessive, especially given the otherwise reasonable pricing of food and drinks. It's a minor inconvenience in an otherwise stellar dining experience. Overall, El Xolo is a must-visit for food lovers, offering a memorable fusion of history, culture, and exquisite cuisine in one beautiful, traditional setting.More infoEl XoloPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Latin• Antiguo Cuscatlán•4.8
- TThierryVIPPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe best elegant restaurant in San Benito/El Salvador. The team is outstanding and very friendly. Food is out of this world. Of course, every time we come to El Salvador, Monarca is our home away from home. The waiter Ronald is very professional and we always are happy to see him.More infoMonarcaPrice: Very Expensive• International• San Salvador•4.5

If you're searching for a place that combines breathtaking views, impeccable ambiance, incredible food, and top-notch service, look no further. Nestled by the sea, this place offers an unforgettable dining experience. The sea beach view is nothing short of spectacular, providing a serene and picturesque background for your breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food was absolutely incredible. We started with a delightful fish broth that was rich, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. For our mains, the octopus stole the show—cooked to perfection, paired with a rich sauce. The chicken kebab was also impressive. As a side dish we've ordered some sweet potato that was really crunchy and tasty. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed fresh fruit drinks that were refreshing and perfectly balanced, adding a vibrant touch to the experience. To top it all off, the coffee was simply amazing. Rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it's a destination for relaxation and indulgence. Highly recommended for anyone looking an amazing dining experience.More infoRokaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Latin• Mizata•5
