The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste.     My girlfriend and I haven’t been to a Benihana’s in 10 years. 10 years later, they are still going stronger than ever. As soon as we stepped in, I could immediately smell the delicious aroma. Despite frequent power issues, leading to computer issues, they did not let it stop them from putting on an amazing show, performing with amazing service, and cooking the most amazing hibachi stir fry anywhere. I am in the culinary business myself and the hibachi shrimp was absolutely to die for, cooked to perfection and flavored with love. My girlfriend also tried their sushi for the first time which neither of us have ever had. They have some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. But my absolute favorite is still their amazing mustard sauce. I could eat with that sauce absolutely all day. Benihana still remains one of my top favorite restaurant spots to visit. Thank you so much for an amazing meal and experience!
