- CCourtneyChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI have been eagerly trying to secure a reservation at Pizza Portofino for quite some time, and I was absolutely thrilled when I finally had the opportunity to dine there. From the moment I walked in, the restaurant's coastal ambiance immediately set the tone for a truly exceptional experience. The drinks were superb, and the food was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend the whipped ricotta and fig bruschetta, the crispy parmesan fries, the meatballs, the black truffle and three cheese pizza, and the sausage and fennel pizza – though honestly, I believe you can't go wrong with any dish on the menu. While the food and drinks were phenomenal, what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service. From the bartenders, who were so welcoming as we enjoyed a few cocktails while waiting for our table, to our attentive server, every member of the team exceeded expectations. However, it was the manager, Heather, who truly stood out. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel incredibly special, and she went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable.More infoPizzeria PortofinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.8

- LLisavipChicago / Illinois •15 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe went here for Thanksgiving dinner. I had the kale quinoa salad and the roasted turkey leg and jalapeno cheese grits. The meal came with dressing, cranberries and Brussels sprouts. The starter and dinner was great…probably the best Thanksgiving meal I ever had. I had he sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I’ve had better sticky pudding and didn’t really like it here. The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the rest of the staff worked as a team. The atmosphere was ok. It felt like a nice European diner. We went there in the early afternoon. It probably feels nicer at night. I never went there before and was expecting a nicer atmosphere. Overall we had a great experience.More infoThe Smith - ChicagoPrice: Moderate• American• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- MManahilToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI came here for my husband’s birthday dinner. The food was phenomenal - we got steak, the whipped potatoes and the decadent Mac and cheese. For starters we got soup, my husband loved the clam chowder however the French onion soup I got was a bit too sweet for my liking. One thing I will say is the soup could have been hotter, it was lukewarm. Otherwise the rest of the food was perfect. Steak was cooked to perfection. The ambience was wonderful and very romantic. The service was a complete 10/10. We really enjoyed it. It is a very expensive restaurant but I do feel like you get what you pay for.More infoPrime & Provisions SteakhousePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.7
