Filomena is a wonderful place to have special occasions or just a fancy dinner. We've been there several times and each time it has been exquisite. If you aren't watching your waistline, anything in the Cardinale sauce is to die for. It can be a bit pricey, you get what you pay for and then some. Easily one of my favorites in the area and highly recommended. Can't wait for our next time back.

We had a great experience from start to finish! The wines by the glass (sparkling white and red Bordeaux) were delicious. The French onion soup had a flavorful broth and more cheese than I’ve ever seen (no complaints). The lobster bisque ranks right up there when compared to another top rated French restaurant in the DMV. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the accompanying Bordelaise sauce accented it perfectly. We didn’t have room for dessert but ordered it anyway, profiteroles and chocolate mousse. Yum!! The service was attentive, with no mistakes and the ambience on the upper level enhanced the dining experience. The noise level was okay, and I’m glad it wasn’t any louder. The price points were reasonable, given the quality, and there are less expensive menu options. This was our first visit to this restaurant but we will be back!

Every dish (BABA GHANNOUGE, HALLOUMI PIDE, TURKISH STYLE PASTIRMA, SMOKED BEET SALATA, SEA SCALLOPS, GARIDES ME ANITHO, KOFTE KEBAB, HUNKAR BEGENDI) that we tried was devine! The spanakopita we ordered had way too much salt and when I provided the feedback to our server, he was not only kind enough to share the information with the chef, he did not charge us. In addition they gave us 4 complimentary desserts. We probably would not have tried dessert this time due to how full we were. And that would have been a missed opportunity!!! The desserts, especially the Greek yogurt with apricots (I don’t even like Greek yogurt), by far, was one of the best desserts I have ever had!

We celebrated my mother's birthday last night. As always the ambiance, food, and service at this location was top tier. My mother ordered the stuffed chicken, which is amazing. The loves the cream they use to stuff the chicken and I do as well. I ordered the lamb chops with blue cheese crust and enjoyed every bite, as I usually do. We greatly appreciate the wait staff. Everyone serve we've had has always been friendly, accommodating, and professional.

Everything was delicious. We ate far too much because it was all so good! We started with the Jumbo Lump Crab Dijonnaise, Oysters Rockefeller. Our entrees were the Crab Cake (1 was enough after the appetizers), and Leidy’s Duroc Pork Chop. We ended with the Bread Pudding. All of which was outstanding. Over the course of our meal, my partner ordered a Bloody Mary and an Old Fashioned from the bar. He said the Bloody Mary was good but had too much Old Bay which settled at the bottom of the glass (the giant shrimp was a nice addition though). He raved about the Old Fashioned and said it was one of the best that he’s had. Our server Gabby gave us great recommendations and she was super friendly. I highly suggest making reservations in advance.
