Restaurants near Ruifeng Night Market

I had been to Danny’s Steakhouse in Taipei the last time I came to Taiwan, so I was pleased to learn of the sister spot in Kaohsiung! As I wanted to celebrate mom’s 80th birthday when I visit (months after the actual date) I wanted to gave my parents a good experience. And I was not disappointed! Making the reservation via OpenTable was easy while I was in the US. I also indicated it was for a belated birthday. We got there a bit early so they were not ready for me but we were able to wait inside which was nice. The food was wonderful and the wine great, service even better. Lena was attentive and patient. Although I indicated bday celebration during reservation, I really was not expecting anything until a cake with happy birthday was presented to my mom. She was extremely happy and declared she would come back with dad in the future. The bill was expected to be NT$12K+ for 3, but the experience was great and worth the occasional splurge. 😊

Great spot. Recommended by a coworker and did not disappoint. We got the beef and pork platter for 4 and it had everything. Great quality, quantity and service. Everyone in the group said they would go again.
