- JJackVIPCentral Kentucky •24 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoGreat dining experience! The food was wonderful and our server, Darrell, was so attentive and accommodating it made the entire time we were there unforgettable. The only downside was that the only reservation we could get was at 4:30 pm on a Sunday, but that was because it's so popular there, and despite the high prices. But it was worth it, and we'd happily go back.More infoJeff Ruby's Steakhouse - LouisvillePrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Downtown Louisville•4.8

Recommended: the carnitas plate, the brisket plate and the pork tacos. Both plates have a 1/2 portions option and seriously, 2 people could easily split even the 1/2 plate if you order and appetizer, too. The guacamole is good - but we found it needed salt or more acid. Im sure that's just a personal preference. The carajillo cocktail is sneaky and so easy to drink. Our friend got the churro cheesecake and devoured it. Our server, Tommie was sweet and attentive. The only suggestion we could make has nothing to do with the food. The live music is great however it was extremely loud and we had a hard time communicating with each other over dinner. We may have stayed a little longer and had a few more cocktails if the music volume was just a bit lower. Keep the music but maybe start it later in the evening or be aware of the volume.More infoNoche Mexican BBQPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Highlands - Bardstown Rd / Taylorsville Rd•4.4

They serve it warm with butter. I had the shrimp and halibut cheeks with polenta. Michael had the steak with crab. His meal came with a macaroni cake which was delicious. Michael’s steak was cooked perfectly and my meal was wonderful. Reasonable priced for an upscale restaurant! After our dinner we sat at the bar and had an after dinner drink!More infoRiver House Restaurant & Raw BarPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown Louisville•4.7

Louisville is such a foodie town that we try to try new places as much as possible but we always find ourselves back at La Bodeguita at least every couple of months. Can’t rave about this place enough. Highly recommend! This is a must stop eatery for anyone living in or visiting Louisville.More infoLa Bodeguita De MimaPrice: Moderate• Cuban• East Market St - NuLu•4.9

We showed up for brunch and didn't realize it was not offered on weekdays. She read my disappointment and went above a beyond to ensure I was going to love the experience anyway :). BOY am I glad we stayed. She recommended the French Onion Soup and it was probably the best thing we've had in a long time! Delicious!!! We'll be back, and often!
