Our favorite local restaurant! Always a good experience.

Our server, Jeanette, greated us warmly and was very helpful., adding to our experience. All the food was well prepared and presented. I had the salmon and my husband had swordfish; both delicious. We had apple crisp for dessert, and were delighted to find it was made with green apples—so good! One thing that particularly impressed me was the balance of protein, vegetables and carbs in the serving. Often restaurants serve an overwhelming amount of carbohydrates, which are left on the plate, but Union Straw is mindful, and serves perfect portions. We did have a bit of difficulty finding the entrance, which is not on Mechanic St., but the next street over, but having found it, it will become a favorite place.

The food was absolutely spectacular. Every dish seemed to outdo the previous dish. The flavors were so rich and diverse. The service was fantastic and we appreciated the professionalism of the waiting staff. This restaurant is a must visit and I cannot wait to go again.

Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Service excellent. Food top notch. Gracious host. neighborhood gem.

I always come visit to this restaurant during lunch time, the food are so delicious and service is excellent! The price is affortable! Highly recommend!
