Restaurants near Sibley House

Dining at Kyndred is always a fantastic experience. Everything from the ambiance, to the service and food are excellent. I’ve been to the restaurant and hotel 50+ times and there’s never been an issue. An extremely well run, consistent establishment that has award winning cuisine.

Met a business colleague there for lunch and was impressed. Lots of light made the space feel open and airy. Menu was diverse. I chose the meatloaf which was a daily lunch feature and my friend had the Reuben which he said was excellent and looked amazing. The meatloaf was very good and a large portion. I would come back for happy hour to see who the restaurant draws in the evening.

The service, ambiance and food were all outstanding. The extra attention to our friend whose birthday we were celebrating made the evening and our meal extra special. The decor--especially the bathroom--were classy! Thank you for all your thoughtful attention and very fine meal!!

Everything was great, the waiter was too. The cook was a bit messy, food was flying everywhere. I've been to multiple Teppian-style restaurants and the order on which he cooked the food was not good. Normally the food would be cooked together with some placed on different sides of the grill. As the rice is being prepared the other items are slowly cooked until they are brought to the middle of the grill for completion. By the time the other food items were done at this location, the rice was a little cold.

We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer, very tasty! We both ordered the Rib-eye, I ordered garlic mashed potatoes with it and he ordered the horseradish mashed potatoes. Our meals got switched. So I got his potatoes. I didn’t even notice, just thought they were bland. Apparently there was horseradish placed on it in the middle. I asked my boyfriend how his potato’s were and he said they were good. I asked him to try mine….he got a mouthful of horseradish, probably no potatoes, haha. That’s when we figured out the switch up on the potatoes. Not a big deal, we just laughed it off. I didn’t get to try the garlic mashed, they must have been good cause there were none left on my boyfriend’s plate lol. Anyway, the sauce that comes with it was so amazing! It was like a garlic cream sauce. I am still craving more! It was good on the steak, veggies and potatoes. The steak was very good quality and cooked to Medium Rare perfection. Definitely worth the $55 each. Our waiter, Clayton, was so professional and excellent. Overall a very pleasant experience! I’m sure we will be back in the future.
