A dear friend from out of town was visiting so I the Greenhead Hotel and Bistro. It was absolutely fantastic, from the moment we arrived to the time we departed. The surroundings and decor are beautiful, roaring fire in the magnificent fireplaces, Christmas decorations and enjoyable background music. The customer service was outstanding and the menu was excellent. The food we selected was absolutely delicious the best and to top it all the value for money could not be beaten. Great venue with a fantastic atmosphere. Choice on menu is good and the food is excellent. Service is friendly and first class. The staff are keen to make sure everything is OK, without being in your face. Great place to eat.

On my visit, I began with an exquisite Rillettes de Porc with some off-menu toasted bread. I followed this with an indulgent Bœuf Bourguignon accompanied by a tangy Gratin Dauphinois and fresh Haricot Vert. The staff were an absolute delight—attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work. They were happy to make recommendations, explaining food combinations with detail and enthusiasm. Every interaction felt personal, adding an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The restaurant offered subtle touches of a French bistro, a cosy yet sophisticated charm. It's perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group get-togethers. It's not budget dining, but the quality of the food, impeccable service, and overall experience justify the cost. Portions are generous, and each dish feels crafted with care. Whether you're a fan of French cuisine or just looking for a memorable culinary experience, the French Quarter delivers on all fronts. We were given a lunch voucher for a present and we really enjoyed our visit. All three courses that we chose were delicious and the meal came with 2 glasses of fizzy. The restaurant has an interesting history and had a pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and the service was perfect, with just the right amount of attention. We will definitely be returning!
