The Greenhead Hotel was taken over in June 2020 by local proprietor Jordan Dodwell & his partner Anna Pearson. After a complete refurb they opened the doors on the 14th August 2020.Head Chef, Dan, & his young, eager team use the finest ingredients available using local butchers, suppliers and even forage in the nearby woodland.     Excellent and authentic venue in the heart of the city. Service was first class again. This was a business lunch and staff not at all intrusive which enabled a good discussion without constant interruptions that you can unfortunately get at other estsblishments

    I ordered the burger which came with beige chips a bun with beige cheese covering a slice of lettuce on a beige plate - it looked unappealing and could have done with some added colour on the plate - the taste was good and cook well but very uninviting - I go a lot to broadchare so was quite disappointed by the bland plate that arrived at the table!

    Mother's day Sunday lunch @the Greenhead hotel was one to remember. From start to finish, from the souffle to the lemons posset and the roast lamb in between, everything was faultless. Brilliant service, food served in a timely manner on a very busy day, certainly one of the best restaurants in the region. Well done team Greenhead, looking forward to our next lunch with you 👍
