The service was friendly and welcoming the second we walked through the door. The restaurant gives an authentic Spanish feel and the food was delightful. Might be my new favourite restaurant.

Beautiful afternoon tea. The room was beautifully festively decorated! The waitress listened to all our requests with the afternoon tea, nothing was too much trouble. She also came back to ask if we needed more tea/coffee which was lovely too. I think some christmas carols/music in the background would have made it extra special.

We had a lovely date night at Lawsons Bistro where we were early but that didn't matter. We had a nice quiet corner table and the service was attentive but not obtrusive. The food was excellent overall, but my pork belly could have been hotter. We had 3 courses, my partner had a glass of wine and I had a N/A bottle beer. I was expecting a bill of upwards of £80, but a 3 courses discount brought the bill down to £55...Stunning value. Looking forward to the next date night at Lawsons Bistro

This is the second time I dined at this place. Simply outstanding food. The portions are generous and it was difficult to finish all. I loved every bit of it .

We enjoyed an excellent lunch of cottage pie and Doddington burger. Both dishes were accompanied by generous portions of kitchen garden vegetables/salad and were delicious. Glasses of Sangiovese were a very good match for the food. Too full to have a dessert, we opted for a coffee and mince pie. It is well worth reserving a table in the restaurant. Although there is inevitably some noise from the cafe below, this was not intrusive. Views of the lake and beyond to open countryside provide a very pleasant backdrop to any meal. Service was both friendly and efficient.
