Restaurants near Southview Park

We have eaten at The Trident many times. It is our "go-to" restaurant when we have out-of-town visitors. There were 6 of us on a lovely, sunny day on the Bay. We were torn between eating inside or outside, and Carlos patiently walked us around showing the tables available so we could choose what we liked. We ended up at a round table outside in the glass walled area, that offered some protection from the breeze, as well as a beautiful view of the San Francisco skyline. Everyone enjoyed their food (chowder, dip sandwich, Po'Boy sandwich, salads) and drinks, and we enjoyed Carlos' fine service and good humor. No doubt we'll be back, even if we don't have visitors. The service was fantastic! I could go on and on about how excellent our waitress, Tatiana, was, and how fast and professional the other staff were! They worked really well together and it was as pleasure to see. The views were great! The food was okay. It lacked seasoning, so it was pretty meh and bland, although beautifully presented and cooked well. For example, my braised short ribs were ABSOLUTELY tender, but there was hardly a particle of salt in them, so the flavor of the meat was absent. (The sweet potato fries were spot on though!)

This is a classy, top notch dining experience in Sausalito. Worth the drive, as the food is excellent and the ambiance hard to beat. Old world charm oozes from every wooden sconce lit booth. We shared a meal with very dear foodie friends here and they were duly impressed with everything.

Ditas has a nice view of the city, unfortunately our group got sick from their oysters.

Special Christmas menu. Started with toasty garlic bread, and delicious crab cakes that were fresh and accompanied with a tasty sauce. The pasta dishes were excellent.
