The food was very good and well-priced. I ordered salmon, which was cooked med-rare, as I requested. Husband had coconut chicken with twice-baked potatoes.l0portions were large. My only complaint was that the room had no atmosphere. Although we sat by a glorious fire and there were nice LED table lights, the room chandelier was so bright that it ruined the ambience. Felt like a diner. Of they put low-wattage lighting in the current fixture, and lit up tables individually problem solved.

An absolute must stop in Kingston, La Canard Enchaine is simply an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The service is always top notch and their food is always impeccably prepared. Their wine list is excellent and cocktails are always deliciously prepared. The decor is warm and inviting; an authentic French restaurant vibe.

Very excellent cuisine and service. Price is steep. They already give 20% of the bill to support the student servers, which I don't object to, as I like to help them in their education. But that should be made more clear before even more money is solicited for the same cause, when you prepare to pay. Aside from that I highly recommend the experience.

Dining here is always a delight. The specials were a treat and the regular menu scrumptious. Not one for flowery tasting teas, I adored the "Paris" blend. Also: congratulations to the staff who are graduating and may the rest enjoy their winter break.
