A great meal for our anniversary! We really enjoyed the cocktail options, ambiance and cheese board. Would absolutely recommend visiting for any special occasion.

Excellent salad bar and surf and turf at a reasonable price. We had to request a change of wait staff at the beginning of the meal since we were ignored for a larger party for nearly 15 minutes and when confronted the waiter told me “to be civil.” Disgraceful behavior towards a guest but a new waitress took right over immediately and the service from there was flawless. The restaurant put our appetizer on the house as a gesture of good will and we appreciated that.

What a remarkable surprise to find such an elegant yet unpretentious restaurant that is not trying to hard while achieving extraordinary flavors and combinations of ingredients. Irate never fails to impress. Food, service and ambiance are superb. Located in the Southern Vermont Arts Center, where today the member artists exhibition opened. Tonya, our regular server in the dining room is wonderful. She is the best! I had a delish cup of soup to start followed by the Denver Omelette and great home fries. My partner had the fried chicken sandwich without the bread and loved every bite. For desert we split a chocolate dish which was spectacular.
