- BBarbaraWashington, D.C. Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFour of us met to celebrate a retirement at Ada's and the evening couldn't have been more perfect. We were greeted warmly, and the hostess accommodated our request for a comfortable table where the noise level wouldn't be overwhelming for my 90 YO mother. We were seated at a booth with a gorgeous view of the river, where the noise level was lively but not too much. Our server was friendly and professional, just the right amount of attentive. I had taken a fall on the ice leaving my home, and he kindly had a bag of ice sealed in a take-home bag for me to keep on my injured knee. So off to a great start, and everything just got better from there. The food was delicious. We had the swordfish, crab-stuffed trout, large crab cake with carrots and sweet potatoes as sides. We shared a soufflé for dessert--it was large enough for the four of us. All the portions were generous--two of us ate our fill and left with enough for dinner the next day. I've been to Ada's many times and my guests, none of whom had been before, now have it on their list of Old Town favorites.More infoAda's on the RiverPrice: Moderate• American• Old Town Alexandria•4.7

The place was packed and traffice was terrible so i got there late, bt I asked for them to hold the reservation. The hostesses, down to the wait staff were awesome. High energy - lots of Capital Hill celebs there.More infoOld Ebbitt GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8

The food and our server were amazing and she even surprised my husband with a dessert. This is a restaurant we’ll definitely continue coming to.More infoMia's Italian KitchenPrice: Moderate• Italian• Alexandria•4.8
- CConnieWashington, D.C. Area •10 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThis was our first visit to the restaurant and it was lovely. We were nearly the only guests because we just had a snow event a few days prior. So it was quiet and it allowed us to talk easily and walk around and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. Food was excellent and I highly recommend. For dessert, we had the Chai soufflé. I would not classify it as a soufflé, but it was even better than expected. It was dense and flavorful and I would have loved a bigger piece!! We would love to visit again during sunlight hours so we can see the water!More infoCedar KnollPrice: Expensive• American• Alexandria•4.5
- JJenniferWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 4, 2025The wait staff was amazing. Our server was attentive and very accommodating. The restaurant was wonderfully decorated in colonial decor and was clean and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious but the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Overall we were very pleased with our dining experience.More infoMount Vernon Inn RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Alexandria•4.6
