We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.*Last seating 1 hour before close*

All I can say is wow! We have been coming here a long time and last night really blew us away. It was my FIL birthday and he also happens to be battled stage 4 cancer. We had the tomahawk, a few appetizers and dessert. They went over and beyond by also serving brandy with our dessert. The waiter asked why we were in town and found out it was due to treatment. When we asked for the bill, The general manager brought it with a card. The entire bill was comped. We were stunned by the generosity and it really made our night. Thank you from the bottom of our heart :))

This location is great. Staff friendly. Easy to get a table on a busy Saturday night when everyone else was booked. Sommelier had great presentation. Chris our server is OUTSTANDING and needs to be a manager!! Only critique was cleanliness. They really need to shut down for two weeks or hire a cleaning crew, not rely on servers to clean. There was oil and grease spots all over the booth, napkin and various dust and straw papers on the opening beside the seat. Appeared that seats and walls had not been wiped down and the table maybe had a brush off. For this kind of money and romantic experience I expect better clean environment. However... Aside from that thank you for the great service and outstanding dining experience!
