The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Our beliefs are simple - in a world full of so much terrific food and wine, why settle for a slab of quiche and a glass of boring plonk? Our food is innovative, fresh and tasty... and available at all hours. The wine list speaks for itself - "Legendary for its iconoclastic notes. It doesn"t necessarily tell you what the wine tastes like - you have to make your mind up. It's there to provoke interest", says Harpers, the wine trade magazine. As Barossa wine making supremo John Glaetzer puts it so succinctly, "Don, this is not just a wine list - it's a book". And a readable one at that!

Flesh & Buns Covent Garden, from the team behind Bone Daddies and Shackfuyu, is located within the bustling Seven Dials area in Covent Garden. Inspired by Japanese izakayas, roughly translated as a pub or place designed for informal eating and drinking, Flesh & Buns is the first restaurant in London to specialise in gua bao buns (DIY filled steamed buns). Below street-level, the restaurant has a bar area offering bar dining for up to 10 people, serving a variety of sake brands and a diverse range of cocktails including the signature Frozen Yuzu Margarita, alongside the restaurant’s varied sharing food menu. Draped fabric ‘noren’ screen curtains surround intimate dining booths and transport diners to an authentic Japanese drinking den experience – bookable and ideal for groups of friends or colleagues meeting for lunch, dinner or Flesh & Buns’ ever-popular Sunday Brunch.

Excellent service, and the food was fantastic. Our waiter took time to explain the menu, and we were able to try a couple of the wines before making a decision. We will definitely return.

The Monday night offer at Hawksmoor where you can take any bottle of wine for £5 corkage is fantastic. It allows you to have a great steak (why would you order anything else) without a massive bill. The steaks are always cooked to perfection and taste delicious. We had a slight delay in one of our starters and the waitress who dealt with the problem immediately took it off the bill, without any of us saying anything. Fantastic customer service that was demonstrated by all the team - professional, helpful, and friendly. A great place for a meal out with friends and colleagues on a Monday evening.

Greeted at the door by the doorman and told to have a nice evening. Front of house took my coat and bag and said my table was ready early. The sparkling/still water I’d requested was on the table already. One of the servers asked if she could pour one of the waters for me and if I wanted to order anything whilst I waited for my guest. Food was very nice. I had the fried haddock with chips. Very fluffy batter with the right amount of crisp. Overall the staff were very attentive and ambience of the restaurant was very relaxing and welcoming.
