Restaurants near Tom Beal Park

We went there for Valentine’s Day & they had a steak/chicken/chorizo fajita platter for 2. It was excellent!! The steak was delicious! It came with about 5 tortillas each & then veggies with some different sauces to choose from. It was mouth watering. Plus it was $40 total so that was a steal :) our server was amazing too. Very on top of things & kind.

Get the flatbread Brie appetizer, its awesome! Great place to go on a date or out celebrating with fancy friends.

This was our second visit to Boxcar Bistro and once again they didn’t disappoint. From the moment you walk in to when you leave it is well orchestrated. Lots of room between intimate tables and nice lighting. Unlike a lot of restaurants nowadays, you can hear your table mates while talking. Old school dining service, no turn and burn here. The courses were perfectly timed and so well prepared. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Crème brûlée is a must to close out your stay!

Excellent meal. We decided to have 2 appetizers rather than an entree. Both the bleu cheese cake and the pate duo were excellent and generous. The wine by the glass was a far better than average selection, but expensive. I am very picky about wine, and I would give it a B+. They had numerous other offerings by the bottle. Had I wanted to pay the price I could have had an excellent bottle. Our server, Morgan, was attentive and delightful. This was our second visit, and we will go again.
