Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard.     My experience at 2941 was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I dined there for her birthday, and we both ordered from the prix fixe menu. When we got there they gave us custom menus with her name on it, which I thought was pretty cool. I have a very severe nut allergy, and our server, I believe his name was Mike Z, took every precaution possible to ensure I was safe to eat there. The food was truly delicious also. I’m not much of a foodie, but everything we had was so good. We ordered the braised short ribs, and they fell apart in our mouths. Plus, we received two complimentary desserts on account of her birthday, and those were phenomenal as well. The service was outstanding, and though it wasn’t a cheap evening, it was manageable at the end of the night. I’ve paid much more for less food at restaurants in Ohio, so to get the quality of food and the beautiful setting at 2941 for less than I paid for at other places was a treat. When we were ready to leave, we asked for directions to the parking garage, and the hostess personally accompanied us to show us how to get to our car. The service was just wonderful all around. I’ll definitely be going back at some point!
