- LLarryBaltimore / Maryland •8 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoLast minute decision for dinner and Open Table showed a High Top in the bar for 5:30pm and it was 5:15 so we jumped on it. Chick-Parm for me and the Sous Vide short rib for my wife. 3 large chicken breasts in my dinner, brought 2 home. Once again, Basta comes thru with a great dinner.More infoBasta Pasta - EldersburgPrice: Moderate• Italian• Eldersburg•4.7
- FFaytheVirginia •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOK, we really did want to like this and overall, we really did. It’s beautiful inside. I know some people have issues with the bar area, but it THEIR issues. I thought it was beautiful and comforting and enfolding . The service was outstanding. You wanted for nothing. Now let’s talk food… We had the seafood combination for an appetizer which everyone really loved and the presentation was nice. For my entree I had pork. I hate to say this, but it was so tough. It needed brined. I know Brian Voltaigio should know this so I don’t know why it was not done. It’s no big deal to put X amount of chops in a brine, put it in the walk-in refrigerator for 12 hours or so and have fabulous flavor. The rub (?) was really good, and the grits that came with. Also very good as well were the sweet potato little towers. But come on, let’s not be lazy. Let’s brine our pork. Also my husband thought the steak was chewy. Probably another missed step in prep. I’m saying it’s because I’m hoping that they read it and they make changes. Otherwise it was a fabulous experience and I’m gonna give them another chance when I get back into Frederick.More infoWye Oak TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Frederick•4.6
- HHilaryBaltimore / Maryland •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 11, 2025I've never had a fine dining experience before, so I have no point of comparison. We greatly enjoyed the multi-course dinner. The plate sizes were larger than expected. Cooked to perfection. Very satisfying. We were sat right in front of the fireplace, which kept me nice and toasty warm (it was a cold January evening) and the rest of the rooms felt comfortably heated. We also had the piano next to our table. When the pianist started playing (which was beautiful and really added to the experience) it was a little harder to hear each other, but we didn't have to shout, just talk above a low murmur. Service was expedient and friendly. When we were served the hors d'oeuvres I informed the wait staff that I'm a vegetarian. They were incredibly accommodating and offered to cater any non-vegetarian dish to my dietary limitations. However, they did have vegetarian options for every course, so I didn't need to resort to any alterations. The cleared our plates quickly and kept our drinks full throughout. It really felt like the full fine-dining experience. We are absolutely coming back :)More infoThe Smokehouse Restaurant at Antrim 1844Price: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Taneytown•4.8
- DDoreenCleveland / Akron / Canton •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024We were with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. It took us a while to order and to leave. Our waitress was amazing. She continued to allow us all the time we wanted and needed. We were practically the last ones there. The food was outstanding and they were French onion. Soup is just the best ! It was burger night and we took full advantage!More infoMaggie'sPrice: Moderate• American• Westminster•4.2
- SStephenBaltimore / Maryland •9 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024Always a pleasure to be at this venue. Decorated beautifully and the food never disappoints. They were very busy with a private party and a ton of reservations but decided to also accommodate an 11 top that had no reservation. That kind of jammed up the works a good bit as those who made reservations were a tad challenged. Not sure why folks think they can just walk in to a venue, especially this time of year, with no reservations, which is disrespectful to those who do but it’s 2024. Nothing really shocks me anymore. But no complaints at all. Kudos to the staff that worked hard to ensure everyone had the best experience.More infoLIBERATORE’S Ristorante & Catering – WestminsterPrice: Moderate• Italian• Westminster•4.7
