Restaurants near Chicago Fed Visitors Center

My experience at ETC was incredible! I love the ambiance of the place, as well as the decor and lighting! The food, drinks, and music made for an incredible dining experience! Looking forward to returning sooner rather than later!

Few hotel-based restaurants offer a truly excellent culinary experience but Grill on 21 does. The broccolini and Brussels sprouts were cooked just right—fresh but cooked through, perhaps finished in the wood fire--and seasoned without a heavy hand. I had the 6 oz Filet Mignon and it was splendid, tender and flavorful. The kitchen folks, working quite nearby, were smiling and calm despite a busy restaurant. My husband had the short rib and the whole dish was great. By the way, the service at breakfast is outstanding, the breakfast selection is generous, and the Swedish pancakes are extraordinary.

Delicious food and cocktails, wonderful ambience., and speedy service. Dined here before a show at the Cadillac Theatre. I also noticed that they have beautiful rooms upstairs for private dining

I gave the food 4 stars, but that applies to the Rueben sandwiches. Three stars for my entree, the Schlachteplatte - Sauerkraut, smoked pork chop, chopped Bratwurst, Thuringer & Knockwurst with fingerling potatoes. Sounds like a lot of food, so split it with another person. The dinner plate was small. Piled with sauerkraut, but only 2 slices each of the sausages & the pork chop was the thickness of a slice of ham. Could not be thinner. And for $25, it wasn’t worth it. We also ordered a side of potato pancakes that tasted like hash browns. Our waiter was great! The Christmas decorations were beautiful and the ambiance was very cozy. Maybe other entrees are good, but if I go again, I’ll stick to one of the sandwiches.

Booked this establishment last minute for a Christmas lunch while exploring Chicago. My husband and I enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The lobster roll was really good and my husband enjoyed the Bandol Burger. Highly recommend trying this establishment when in Chicago.
