Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar.     I’ve lived in the area for more than 30 years and never managed to visit this lovely establishment. Family was in town and we needed something close to their hotel to celebrate birthdays. 740 Front Street didn’t disappoint. The ambience is charming and cozy. What a history??!! Make sure you read the back of the menu. Everyone cleaned their plates, and the service was top notch! Thank you so much for a wonderful family outing. Highly recommended.

    I love this little local restaurant! I have eaten there many times and have never had a bad meal or questionable service. The ambiance is old school and fun. Delicious Italian food. Their specials are to die for and have the Chef's Special four course dinner sometime! You'll have leftovers for the next day but it is so good!

    We were supposed to get an elevator ride to a private dining area upstairs with the lovers lane package I purchased, but got sat downstairs next to a loud family with multiple kids instead. Everything was great, but we were a bit disappointed that they decided to not give us the private dining area we were supposed to have.
