The boys have given the beloved local pub a new lease of life, with a brilliant bar offering, relaxed, vibrant spaces and a food menu that shows off pub grub at its best. Food was great, but the staff made the experience 1000% better. I interacted with multiple waiters and all of them were so kind and attentive. I went there for my birthday alone and they were so amazing. I had a birthday card waiting for me when I got there, got a complimentary drink and they put a candle on my dessert. I didn't feel lonely at my dinner and I was also sitting at the counter so it was interesting looking into the kitchen. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't been before.

Quite good but room for improvement. Meal was slightly overdone. Impenetrable crackling, well done yorkshire puds, roasties had that re-heated taste all solved adequately with copious amounts of tasty gravy, so not a problem.

The sushi platter was superb and other dishes good. But the place lacks the ambiance and Japanese feel of its predecessor Sushi Say from about 20 years ago. Still well worth a visit though.
