They have something for everyone: awesome steak, fresh fish and their meat sauce in their spaghetti is top notch. The valet is complimentary so it’s easy to get in and out (although the guys are super friendly and deserve a decent gratuity too.). We highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.More infoEJ's PlacePrice: Expensive• American• Skokie•4.8
- LLeonChicago / Illinois •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOverall this is the best French restaurant we've been to in the North Shore. The varied menu includes lots of French classics with a modern interpretation that retains the essence of the classic preparations. Our service was just right -- welcoming, friendly and efficient. They have a nice selection of wines by bottle or glass, both domestic and imported, and moderately priced. For the quality of food and drink we received, the prices are appropriate. Note that there is no valet parking, but the Metra lot is directly across from the entrance and costs $2-$4 depending on the time. We are definitely going back!More infoThe Alcove- EvanstonPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Evanston•4.6
- GGeneChicago / Illinois •16 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoJilly's has been around for a long time, and it kinda shows it. The ambience is kinda 1960's rooming house chic (well-worn, unchanged, with crystal chandeliers and second-hand furniture). The clientele is mostly elderly Northshore folks. The food is what was considered fancy French 40 years ago. For the most part it is tasty and well-prepared, although my mussels were overcooked and rubbery and another person in our party has a steak that he ordered as medium rare, but it had no pink in it whatsoever. It still tasted good enough that he didn't send it back. It has a homey feel. The servers are nice. The prices are steep.More infoJilly's CafePrice: Expensive• French• Evanston•4.6
