Restaurants near XMOS

I’d visited this restaurant pre pandemic while working in Bristol. Back in Bristol for a few nights on business and my fiancé tagged along. I wanted to take him to the Ox and he loved it as much as I did. We both had steaks, cooked to perfection. Triple cooked chips were great. He also had an octopus starter which he raved about. We had a glass each of a very nice Malbec which complimented the steaks really well. Staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive and the ambience was nice and relaxed but warm and welcoming. Highly recommend and we will be back next time we’re in Bristol.

We were celebrating our anniversary From the minute we arrived the staff were brilliant. Gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly to celebrate which was so lovely. Very attentive the whole way through our meal. Meal came out quickly and was amazing. Very quiet in there so not much of an atmosphere, but it was 4.30 in the afternoon. But overall was really lovely. We will definitely be back.

Very good team and food is fine, very quiet during our Sunday lunch left it a bit soulless.
