Restaurants near York Railway Station

Everything from the greeting at door the table service the food wow the food, We could fault nothing, If you are in York or anywhere near book yourself a treat and go you will not be disappointed, It is all Lubberly Jubberly.

Food was excellent and the service was the same. Attentive staff without being overly so. We had two of the mocktails and they were lovely. The soup and salmon were excellent and well portioned. Originally we were just going to have a starter and main but it was so delicious we also had a dessert. Again excellent quality and good portion sizes.

This is a wonderful restaurant for lovers of Chinese food, regardless of whether they are vegan. The dishes are packed with flavours and textures, plates are colourful and the portion sizes are good. Of course, for vegans the range of choices is just brilliant: we eat at Orchid regularly and have not been disappointed by any selection we’ve made. Staff are helpful and the atmosphere is warm; tables are far enough apart that we can hear ourselves easily.

Food was outstanding. Staff were polite and friendly and very attentive. The decor was lovely and the ambiance relaxed and friendly.

Lovely afternoon tea in the Garden Room. The sandwiches were nice and the scones were great, they were warmed and served with jam and clotted cream. We had the festive afternoon tea which meant the cakes were festive themed, I would prefer them be the usual cakes. I wasn’t a fan of the Christmas pudding or mince pie flavour. Overall, it was great. I would go back for regular afternoon tea but not the festive one due to the cakes. Service was amazing
