Lawry's remains the premier prime rib restaurant in Los Angeles. The front desk people are friendly and accommodating. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive. This is the perfect place for a celebration or other special event.

Lawry's is a special occasion destination. Plan on about 110.00 per person. First time we went for Thanksgiving and they were very organized. Service was swift, food was delicious. and it was a wonderful evening...

I have lived in LA for over 30 years and this was my first time dining at Lawry’s. It was festive for Thanksgiving but the food is mediocre at best. I guess I was expecting better. The roast beef was ok but the Yorkshire pudding was cold. The creamed spinach didn’t have much taste. The butternut squash soup was too thick and not particularly favourable. The flourless chocolate cake was dry and disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend Lawry’s Beverly Hills if you care about food. The food is bland.

The restaurant experience was very unpleasant and stressful. Sitting at our table was like having front rows seats at a factory, with carts running back-and-forth and servers just waiting for you to finish your course so they could serve your next course and then get you out of there as fast as possible. When we asked our waiter for more ice water after we had paid the bill he shook his head and never brought it. This was a very unpleasant dining experience. I should’ve guessed this would be the experience from when I walked in to make a reservation in person a few days prior and the manager whispered to the receptionist (right in front of me) to tell me that I would have to make the reservation online. I was wearing my exercise clothing and felt like I was in Pretty Woman when the store clerks judged she had no money and refused to serve her. When I went to call online I could never get through. So from the very first experience it seems that the manager who had an attitude hires people with similar attitudes to take care of their guests. My friend seated with us said they probably don’t care because they cater to a tourist population who don’t typically return. The taste of the food was completely subpar for the price. The roast beef had no flavor, although the Yorkshire pudding made up for it because it was very good. We asked to substitute a baked potato for a mashed potato, and they don’t do substitutions to the point where you could order a baked potato in addition to your mashed potato, but not instead of Your mashed potato. We were looking forward to having the baked Alaska as a dessert, and that was also completely disappointing with freezer burn tasting cake on the bottom of flavorless ice cream and burnt tasting meringue. There are many more delicious restaurants to visit in the same price range with courteous and congenial staff and way better food.

Waitress literally forgot it was my son’s birthday and gave us the check soon as we finish our main course no dessert was offered and disappeared ever since. Very disappointed
