We recently celebrated our anniversary at Maison Boulud at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Montreal, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—Julian, our waiter, and Valentine, the guest manager, went above and beyond to make our evening special. The ambiance and decor are refined yet warm, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening. Drinks, wine, and desserts were all exceptional. While the entrés and main course were good, though not quite extraordinary, the overall experience marked by impeccable service and attention to detail more than made up for it. Overall, beautiful dining for a special occasion. We will definitely be coming back! As well, a heartfelt thank you to Ricardo in the Hotel lobby for the warm send off and the fascinating history lesson—his pride in this iconic hotel made our visit even more special.

Absolutely fantastic Indian food with a modern twist. My husband, who is difficult to please, said it was the best Indian meal he'd had, including meals *in* India. Bar Vendetta distinguishes itself in a space that had previously been a fairly iconic restaurant, The Black Hoof, with a beautiful (and imposing) Douglas fir ‘glass canopy’ and a completely different, 70s colour scheme, modelled (very loosely) on Jen's teen basement bedroom in Scarborough. Nothing says 70s like brown, orange and cream! We didn’t want it to scream ‘Italian restaurant’ because frankly it’s only Italian-ish, using the philosophies of Italian cooking with locally available ingredients and a strong devotion to seasonality. Our pastas all made in house, by long-time chef, Annalisa Latavo and our front of house team is simply a dream! The sort of secret treehouse-feeling back patio is hugely popular in the summer, but we think of it as the perfect restaurant for a colder evening, cozy for tucking into a beautiful plate of pasta, with one of your favourite songs playing while you have a very nice Italian red.

The restaurant recently changed its format so you enter an ancillary dining room for cocktails and canapes along with an explanation of the meal and the wine pairings. Then you move to the main dining room for the meal. This felt performative and awkward. Moreover, the person doing the explaining mixed up identifying the vegetables on the demonstration platter -- an error that is beneath the level of this restaurant. I would have preferred being seated directly. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Every meal here is truly memorable.

Everything about the experience at Madrina was amazing. We elected to go for tapas. Every plate was a visual and oral delight. The service too was excellent and the complimentary sherry with dessert was unexpected but appreciated. A well deserved Michelin star restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

This was a great experience! The food was wonderful. Taste and presentation for everything was terrific! We especially enjoyed the Iberico char siu. SO tender! We're hoping to return with a larger group and order the duck. My only slight disappointment was with the timing of service. Everything we ordered arrived very quickly and almost all at the same time. So, we weren't able to enjoy our cocktails before wine or one starter at a time before the main. We also were sitting at the chef's counter, so it became a bit cluttered with all the dishes at once. All in all, I must say that these are minor complaints because, overall, the service was very attentive, and the food was delicious. Definitely glad we visited and hope to return.

Lovely experience for our Anniversary last night. Food was great and Alexa our server was fantastic. She was very pro-active as we didn't have to wait for anything. Overall she made our night a great one. It's not often these days you get a nice waitress like her. Thanks again.

Had a really lovely time! Sat in the booths close to the kitchen in the evening and the noise level was fine. Got the tasting menu with mocktail pairings and flavours were really great. Fave mocktail was the Kyoto Summer (tho Romance Dawn was a close second just for the One Piece reference) and fave dish was the cod, it was perfect. Used to get kickass rice bowls all the time from their food truck Le Tigre pre-pandemic and I'm so happy I finally made it here. They also brought us an extra dessert as it was my partners birthday. Would go back!
