Our mission is to bring the joie de vivre, comfort, and community of the City of Lights to downtown Menlo Park. The name " Vida" the Spanish word for life, was chosen as a toast to the enjoyment of life, love, and food. Our server, Judept, was wonderful. Attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Had great recommendations for food and wine. The food was delicious, and easily shared amongst the group. Everything was fresh and bright.

Originally known as Phoebe's Garden Café, the restaurant has a long and colorful history in Syracuse. Local lore claims that the building was originally a brothel, and Phoebe was its madam.
In the summer of 2004, Phoebe's experienced a refreshing makeover with a bright new look in the atrium dining room with fresh paint, new upholstery, and artwork. The coffee lounge also opened that year, and it became an instant hit with the surrounding university and business crowd. Those changes also warranted a new name to reflect the updated attitude and ambiance: Phoebe's Restaurant and Coffee Lounge. Classic elements of Phoebe's remain untouched—the French onion soup and enticing crème brulee, for example, but other menu items change seasonally.
The Lounge also has its own seating area and free wireless internet capabilities. Phoebe's old world charm is right at home in a revitalized area of the city.

Best thin crust pizza I've had, and I've had quite a few. Pasta with sausage in a cream sauce was excellent. Waiter was very attentive. Wines very good and reasonable.

The Conservatory is a special place to celebrate a special event. For us, it was a wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been better. The staff was helpful with the menu as well as knowledgeable about the wines (we chose to do the wine pairing with the meal).

We ordered the eggs benedict on biscuit with avocado and the breakfast burrito with a hazelnut latte and a butterscotch latte... everything was seriously delicious. Outdoor tables along the sidewalk are a bit loud and there is a lot of traffic (foot and car), but the outdoor tables tucked in between the buildings are lovely. STRONGLY recommended.

This is a great place for a tasty meal with some unusual menu items. My husband and I have tried the Pistol Grip pasta, Old Pueblo Pesto pasta, and the Hotel Salad with flank steak. ALL ARE FANTASTIC!

Taisha is the most wonderful greeter and server. Always makes you feel welcome. This is a beautiful, pretty quiet place for lunch. Food interesting but I always order from the coffee bar, which is delicious.
