Old Town Scottsdale
One of the best new restaurants in Scottsdale, The Phoenician Tavern is a prime eating spot in the heart of town. Diners will find remarkable views of the Phoenician golf course outside of the Tavern. Inside, they'll enjoy the restaurant's creative menu in a relaxed, upscale setting. Begin with a choice from the "Something to Snack On" menu, like pork poutine smothered fries or Nashville hot fried chicken bites. The "Crafted Burgers" menu is another highlight. Try the Phoenician patty melt, with Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, and ale-braised onions.

Service and food was superb. Beyond the quality and taste of the food they provided very generous portions. Great atmosphere, can tell local favorite. Ambience little dark but definitely not a show stopper! It’s a run not walk to this gem ! Enjoy

We began with drinks at the bar which were great - perfect service and so comfortable with a wonderful vibe. We then were seated as a table of 7. I have to say that Elise is the best waitress I've probably ever experienced. She wonderfully managed our table and even crafted an exceptional tin foil hat for the birthday boy!! We will be back soon...for a third time!

This upscale sushi place in the heart of Scottsdale is an excellent option for shoppers, visitors, or anyone looking for some of the best seafood in town. A relaxing spot with an excellent patio view, OBON's menu is heavy on Asian favorites. Try creative ramen dishes like the Obon, with spicy red miso and chicken, pork belly, and black and red garlic oil. The signature sushi rolls include the "angry tuna" with ginger garlic and jalapeno and the "tataki maki" with shrimp tempura, spicy crab, and chimichurri.

We went there a weekday evening at around 8 pm and the place was pretty empty when we got there. However, they were also very thinly staffed (2 wait staff that also served as the host and the bartender). We were seated promptly but then we waited for almost 15 minutes before someone circled back to take our order. The food came out pretty quick though. We really liked their new recipe on the hamachi-kama (yellowtail collar) with the glazed finish on it. The chicken bun was a little too saucy / spicy for my wife. The Obon ramen was fire as usual and the yellowtail crudo was also on point. The citrus dressing and micro greens complemented the fish really well. Overall, it was a great experience except for the initial wait.

Say "hello" to one of the state's best Italian restaurants in Arrivederci. An elegant, traditionally-styled spot off of Scottsdale's East Thunderbird Road, Arrivederci offers all of the classic Italian restaurant stylings. It's an excellent option for a date night or just a dinner night out with friends. Start with the Arriviederci antipasto or beef carpaccio salmone. For the main course, try some of the classics like spaghetti vongole, fettuccine alfredo, or rigatoni with vodka sauce. Another highlight? The "ciambotta di Pollo e salsccia," with hot and mild Italian sausage, julienned chicken breast, and vegetables.

The service was great. Arturo was very attentive. Although we had to wait a bit for our food because it’s made fresh from scratch it was excellent and flavorful. Thus, it’s worth the wait. The ambience was nice as well.

For an upscale snack, try the warm potato chip stack with smoked bacon, green onions, blue cheese, and fondue. We had the meatball appetizer and also the burrata. Both good, but burrata was a little bit bland. Regular mac and cheese did have a good bit of pepper and mashed potatoes do have skins, so keep in mind if you’ve got kids with you (we had our 13, 12 and 8 year old grandkids) Burgers and chicken were good. Asparagus was fair, most gigantic spears I’ve ever seen! Kids had ice cream and they did offer chocolate syrup and sprinkles. We just love the atmosphere….watching the planes, smelling the jet fuel, we’d come no matter what!

Have a "carefree" experience in the city of Carefree at Keeler's Steakhouse, one of the best new restaurants in Scottsdale. Diners will find prime steaks and chops, market-fresh seafood, and plenty of soups and salads. Don't miss the sandwiches, either. In the middle of Chandler, this unique dining experience is one of the best new restaurants in Scottsdale. Created out of a 1939-era cottage, The Hidden House features a creative menu full of Asian-accented favorites. The must-get is the crispy duck breast, made with grilled peaches, bok choy, and goat cheese. For a side, try the macaroni and cheese made with cavatelli pasta, three cheeses, olive oil, and toasted breadcrumbs. Cocktails are standouts on the drink menu at The Hidden House. Opt for the famous Ramos gin fizz, made with heavy cream, egg white, and sugar, and shaken for 12 minutes.

It was great aside from the butter board. We needed 1/5 the amount of butter it came with. We actually felt really guilty of amount of food we were given. We were just a group of two thinking it was a small bread dish with a cup of butter but there was enough butter for 10 people. We legitimately felt really bad about it and wished we were given a portion commensurate with the table size
