What can I say other this is an experience not to be missed. Is it a pit expensive, sure, but some things in life are worth the cost. I have been to several of the more "up scale" places for drinks and sharables and I would rank this to be up with the best of them. Going in the evening for drinks with a special someone makes for a perfect spot. You may feel like it couldn't be a romantic or intimate location as it is in the centre of a lobby yet once seated, the world falls away and it is magical. I was a little hesitant at first when making the reservation as you are required to order the seafood tower ( which i found odd ) but let me tell you.... worth every penny. Again, it is an experience that you will set you back quite a bit but for the special occasion or perfect impressive date night to show someone you really love them..... worth every penny and more.

This is a terrific small neighbourhood restaurant with wonderful food. It never disappoints. The staff are extremely accommodating in every way. I’ve eaten there many times in both small and large groups. At the end of the meal, everyone is always happy. Try the spaghetti with mushrooms or one of the specials. You’ll go away with a smile on your face.😀

We went during happy hour and the prices were right and the food was fantastic. I had the cod tacos, which were incredible along with a very yummy margarita. It was the perfect place to have a bite to eat before seeing a concert at the Opera House.

came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday! Second time visiting as I came here a month ago to celebrate a work dinner - had the tasting menu then. This time around we opted for the A La carte menu. Abi was great with recommendations and explaining the menu to us. We had the mango lassi both to drink! Was good but a bit too thick for my liking. For aps we had the chaat which is a nice take on traditional chaat with a variety of textures and flavours. For mains I got something vegetarian so that my partner and I could share. Palak paneer and the dhal makhni was great! I’d give the food 4/5 only because I’m south asian and have pretty high expectations lol but everything was great. I would come again! Thanks staff and back of house for great dinner and service ! :)

We had an amazing time at Bellona this evening! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch! We had drinks served within a few moments of being seated & our food arrived quite quickly. The mushroom and asparagus raviolli was excellent…so flavourful! I would definitely order that again! The chocolate brownie for dessert was just luscious! Great Latte to top it off!

The food was delicious! I would recommend the tasting menu- it is definitely large enough for 2 people. The only item to note is that it's a little dark in the restaurant and close to 9pm, they turned the lights down even further. I understand that we're on King West, but it was a Tuesday night- I'm 40 years old and want to see my food :)

For those who don’t know, the name Barkat in Hindi language means prosperity/blessing & let me just begin by saying that dining at Barkat has been a blessing in itself! First time visited this place for a Birthday Dinner on a Monday night & this is everything I thought; Upon entering Barkat one thing you will notice is (post sundown) the ambiance - super cozy & romantic, yet super inviting! The moody ceiling lights really does the trick & a couple of steps in you will be greeted by the MOST, I repeat THE MOST welcoming/cordial & extremely warm person named Maira! Her ever so smiling face & greeting assures you that you have stepped into the right place & needless to say, the experience will be amazing! So to start with we were given complimentary Veg. Manchow Soup (Hakka cuisine), that literally hit the spot when it comes to on rainy/snowy nights in Toronto. While they have a very diverse menu, we inquired with Maira and took her recommendations for dinner & OH BOYY!! Everything she recommended was absolutely bombdotcom; ✨Kali Miri Chicken Tikka ($18.99) - 10000/10000 the chicken was super succulent and tender but the creamy marination was just WOW! Low-key I thought this was better than what you would get in India, I kid you not! ✨Amritsari Fish Tikka ($17.99) - 9999/10000 the fish is freshly marinated and deep fried like a pakora and garnished with spicy mango salsa! SO SO GOOD!!! ✨Malai Kofta ($18.99) - 100000/100000 BEST MALAI KOFTA EVER! Read that again! Because this was so so so good! Like I could eat it ANY given day but more so WAYYY better than what you get in India!! ✨Laccha Paratha ($6.00)+ Tandoor Roti ($5.00)- You cannot go wrong with either of the Indian breads but my personal favourite has to be the Laccha Paratha! Absolutely HEAVEN!! BEST! ✨Gulab Jamun with Rabri ($12.99) - 9999/10000 - This was just a perfect way to finish your meal. The rabri was my favourite!!
