Given the open plan, being seated near the kitchen was very loud and detracted from the intimate dinner we were looking for - as it was not really busy, might want to leave those tables for walk ins or when really busy. Coombe is an absolute gem! The Devonshire tea would have to be the best value in Melbourne. $15 per person for bottomless tea and coffee, two large fluffy, perfect scones, served with delicious peach Melba jam and divine double cream is extraordinary. Architecturally, this building is quite intriguing. Enormous windows to enjoy the beautiful trees and dappled sunlight, stylish wave-shaped batten ceilings, skylit panels, and second hand red bricks walls create a feeling of warmth and luxury. The service is exceptional - always aware, but never intruding. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Emerge was established in February of 2019. This restaurant focuses on steak and features wagyu, full blood wagyu, 100% grass fed as well as in house dry aged steaks. Emerge can feature up to 10 steaks of various cuts at anyone time. Although a steakhouse Emerge doesn’t leave anyone behind. It really does have something for everyone. Using mainly proteins, vegetables and local artisan suppliers, the simplicity of the menu is naturally driven towards being gluten free. For this reason, Emerge is a popular location for coeliacs to safely dine. Although we refer to Emerge as using simple ingredients flavour is not lacking!

This place is a vibe! It felt like an exclusive rooftop venue as the place does not have much signage and you go up a clear lift straight to the rooftop. Service was amazing, food and drinks were also 10/10. The view was incredible, you can see all the way into the city and clear views of centre Point tower. I don't live close by but would definitely travel to come back. A hidden gem for sure.

As we were a group of 9 we had to have a set banquet. That said, the staff were very happy to accommodate any special dietary requests. The food was great, lots of flavour and the right portions, no one went hungry. The service was outstanding. This was the perfect restaurant for a catch up lunch with friends. Highly recommend.
