Tucked away in a side street, this unassuming restaurant is a food lovers heaven. It really is a gastronomic delight and when in Townsville, I recommend you go. Don't miss out as A Touch of Salt will not disappointment. Food was amazing to say the least, the restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated and the staff all very happy and attentive. The atmosphere just elevates the food too. Loved our evening there. ATouch of Salt certainly has won our taste buds.

Entree prawns/oyster combo dish offered disappointing and questionable non fresh mushy king prawns. Maître D did not show up at our table yet seemed to be circulating the room?

As usual, a lovely experience. Our waiter, Thibault, was charming and the sommelier also very helpful. The duck fat potatoes are incredible. The only improvements would be a couple more vegetarian based options. I had steak which was lovely but I do prefer vegetable based dishes. The side dishes are wonderful, plus the apple tart. The wines by the glass haven’t altered in a year so I think they could offer a couple of new wines by the glass which would be appreciated by the patrons.

The food was amazing! My partner is vegan, I'm not, but the food was such high quality you don't even think twice about it all being plant based, so is a good place for vegans to take their non-vegan friends. Would definitely recommend the meatballs and the taquitos (so yummy). Beware of accidentally ordering too much fried food (which was the mistake we made - filling up on batter rather than deliciousness - we couldn't even finish our patatas bravas!). Lovely, friendly staff. Interior and vibes were immaculate - such a lovely place for a special meal. Also shoutout to the lovely human mixing drinks. Would recommend the creme brulee martini for dessert. Will be coming back here for sure!

We had the bottomless lunch & the experience was fantastic. Our server, Andrea, was fabulous, explained the menu perfectly & kept our drinks topped up throughout our lunch. The food, OMG so delicious & the fish we both had for main was cooked to perfection! My mouth still waters thinking about it! We will definitely be back!

Wow, what a special meal. Every dish was delicious, and the pasta sauces really wowed me. I loved the sashimi starter, the rigatoni carbonara and the pappardelle we had. As we were a group of 9 we had to have a set banquet. That said, the staff were very happy to accommodate any special dietary requests. The food was great, lots of flavour and the right portions, no one went hungry. The service was outstanding. This was the perfect restaurant for a catch up lunch with friends. Highly recommend.
