A.R. Valentien, the signature restaurant at the AAA Five Diamond resort The Lodge at Torrey Pines, features innovative California cuisine served in a breathtaking setting overlooking the Torrey Pines Golf Course and Pacific Ocean coastline. Executive Chef Kelli Crosson uses only the best local provisions, and the menu changes daily depending on what's offered at local farmers' markets, as well as from other local growers, ranchers and fishermen. The restaurant's wine list features California wines exclusively, including a variety of boutique wineries from throughout the state.

A.R. Valentien’s sophisticated design includes artwork from the restaurant’s namesake, Albert Robert Valentien, and a spacious outdoor terrace. Special events include the seasonal Artisan Table dinner series and Celebrate the Craft, an annual charity event benefiting The Ecology Center.

We had a fantastic experience. The staff were spectacular, the food was amazing, the ambiance, incredible. It was an anniversary celebration for us and the service blew us away, from the personalized menu to the amazing attention to detail by all the staff. A very happy experience all around. Overall a great experience. I was entertaining some colleagues and a business partner in town for a conference as a local and they thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Several of our dishes were great. Most notably the hot oil seared salmon that our server recommended and spicy garlic noodles. I wasnt really a fan of the meatball and spicy shrimp plates (but I may be biased having had similar dishes in the past) We arrived almost 30 minutes and the host Erika was exceptionally welcoming and got us seated promptly which was awesome. Definitely would come back, great for a date night or entertaining guests.

As always, the food was delicious! The service was top notch! And the ambiance was perfect with a nice ocean view of the La Jolla cove! My only suggestion to the restaurant is to have more beer selections, particularly IPAs and draft. They have no draft beer at all, they have four different types of beer only! And they need a waiting food. Otherwise, we had a great experience, we will return again.

We were greeted nicely. I fell down on the way to the restaurant and hurt my finger. The restaurant staff offered me a bandaid and some cream. They also checked on me during our meal! That’s an excellent compliment to them! Thank you so much!

Little Italy was built by the fishing industry. Ironside attempts to continue that narrative. It's our contemporary interpretation of the classic fish house and oyster bar. Located in a historic auction house on India St we did a full comprehensive restoration of the building, with three open-air culinary hubs featuring an expansive raw bar, chefs table, and bakery. We tried to be mindful of the past while looking towards the future. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks.

Ironside is now taking reservations for patio and dining room seating.

We are now offering Happy Hour MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 3:00PM - 5:00PM.

We had a very nice dinner. I had a bowl of their clam chowder and my companion had the famous chowder fries. Both items were delicious and chock full of clams. That’s what sets their chowder apart from other restaurants. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. He suggested a wine that I had never tried before and it went perfect with the chowder.

The ambiance here is so unique and beautiful! Airy, romantic, stylish and peaceful. And they let us bring our puppy. The food is simple but tasty and the value is one of the best in the city! We have been many times and will continue to come for brunch OR dinner! Today I loved the chai latte and white bean shakshuka. I always bring out of town guests to show it off.

Our favorite local restaurant! Our waiter warmly welcomed us knowing us from previous visits. As usual he was spot on in suggesting wines, knowing the contents of each dish, and anticipating our needs. And the other support staff did an excellent job -- smoothly orchestrating the evening. The salad we shared and ate every morsel -- lettuce, escarole, radicchio, tomatoes, cucumber, almonds, chickpeas, and green beans with an oregano vinaigrette that was so, so, so delicious. My husband enjoyed his pepperoni pizza. The branzino was divine! We finished with a limoncello and vegan pistachio ice cream.

The Manhattan is one of my two favorite restaurants. Their service, meals are just fantastic. This occasion, we had Manny as our server; very good sport (my daughter was messing with him) and attentive to our needs. Tad, pianist, very nice, coming to our table to welcome us again. Plays great music, non-stop for three hours. Aslyn and Tomo, along with management and Chef Tony also came over to say hello.

The meet and greet was promptly inviting and their service on point. I went for the cheese wheel and it definitely did not disappoint. I opted for the parmigiana wheel they also have the Grana Padano. The pasta was perfectly al dente, giving the perfect bite as you coat it with the luscious creamy sauce. I will definitely be returning upon my next San Diego visit.

Whipped ricotta was not our fave, slightly bland. Brussel sprouts were very good, liked spicy sauce. Bucatini Amatriacini was not very good, have had so much better, a bit flavorless and oily. Soppresta and sausage pizza was very good. We were mixed on Tiramisu but I loved it.

The service was excellent. We found all of the servers to be very attentive and helpful. The food was also delicious, starting with the focaccia bread with seasoned butter. The scallops were also excellent. I hadn’t been to this restaurant in a long time and I highly recommend it.

I am a vegetarian who tends toward vegan and absolutely love the vegan menu here. I ate out with meat eaters who were just as happy with their meal as I was. It shouldn’t be so hard to find vegan Italian, but it is—thank you, Civico 1845, for setting such a high standard for omnivores and vegans alike!

The focal point in Oceana Coastal Kitchen's main dining room is an impressive 800-gallon aquarium, while a sliding window fully opens to showcase unobstructed views of Mission Bay.

Oceana Coastal Kitchen offers an al fresco experience for guests, complete with sleek booths and tables with sweeping panoramic waterfront views. Led by Executive Chef Paul Arias, favorite menu items include the Oceana House Roll, the Harris Ranch Ribeye, and the Striped Seabass.

Everything was great as usual! Freddie was super kind and attentive! Only complaint would be that they no longer had the pumpkin coast toast I had asked on instagram how long it would be available and was told through mid nov so that was a bummer especially coming from Chicago but I still enjoyed my time at the Brockton!

I am a frequent customer at La Gran Terraza and I enjoy everything about it. The waiters and waitresses are very polite. The food is very tasty and rich with flavor. The prime rib is very good for its value and one can never have enough bread. It's a great place to bring family, also very awesome for a date night too!
