We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.

We had to wait to be seated as we were told that our table was ready but then advised it was given to someone else and it would be a couple of minutes. That was not true and we had to enquire if the table was then ready, to which we were seated immediately. Although we were having the set Christmas menu we were also not offered a drinks menu, we had to pull this up via our phones. The server we finally had was nice, but we had to ask to do the Cluedo activity but he was attentive when serving the food. Normally it’s been really great here but the seating and no drinks menu was not the best experience.

Great food for vegetarians. The aubergine parmigiana is a must!!! Great portion size. Even when the restaurant is full the servers are always around to look after you. It’s been a while since we’ve had an Assembly House afternoon tea and had forgotten quite how good they are compared to others available. We were warmly greeted at restaurant reception and quickly shown to our table. After a suitable time gap our drinks request was taken by a friendly and efficient staff member, our pots of tea soon arriving. Our multi tiered tea stand then arrived with an explanation of all the delights thereon, with a request to just ask when we were ready for our scones and/or wanted our second pot of tea. Every tier was a delight as were the scones. Several other tables opted for the ‘doggie box’ but I’m afraid we scoffed the lot. We have a Norfolk Passport card so we’re entitled to a 10% discount. A lovely ‘afternoon out’, delightful food in a charming setting with very pleasant staff. Thank you.

Christmas Sunday lunch was lovely, the belly pork main was stunning, the pork was soft and cooked perfectly, the service was nice and relaxing, the only shame was the pudding unfortunately on the main menu there wasn't anything we liked but we were offered sticky toffee pudding which was nice but the sticky toffee sauce was missing, which was a shame.

The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. Our group met for the Christmas party menu. I had the classic prawn cocktail, traditional turkey dinner followed by creme brulee. Prawn cocktail was very good, fresh lettuce, good bread and a decent portion of prawns and sauce. Turkey dinner good but perhaps would have been better with roast potatoes. Creme brulee came with a fresh berry coulis, superb!

A great place for lunch or dinner. The menu remains fairly steady which means all the dishes are tried and tested and can be cooked to perfection every time. The only downside to the restaurant is it's location, parking is relatively limited and therefore you need to park at Lelant Saltings, a minor inconvenience.

This was our first visit here and after a family function at the symphony hall we can e here. We had my mom with us who has very poor mobility, but the staff were really kind and helpful and guided us to the lift to the downstairs restaurant area. The staff were attentive, friendly, interactive and humorous - really great. The food was generally good, with the exception of the braised beef which was tough and fatty - seemed like left over beef slices rather than braised beef. As a group of 5 we are here for my vegan sons birthday. Since he became vegan very tricky finding somewhere nice to eat, and not pan Asian food. The rest of us are big meat eaters. Beautiful venue, perfect music levels, beautiful decor and light. Son was blown away by the food, it was certainly very good, although we had to have the festive menu whereas I would have preferred normal menu especially for first visit so couldnt try the “steak” . A tad expensive but then it was a birthday dinner so that ok. Well worth a visit as very few good independents in the area.

Delight in a delicious selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream & jam and a selection of famous Doddington cakes and dainty sweet treats, located in our Restaurant situated next to the Café. Book for either the first sitting at 12pm or 12:15pm or for the second sitting 2:15pm or 2:30pm, Wednesdays through to Sundays. Please notify us of any Allergies or Dietary requirements in the 'special requests' when booking. Tables are booked for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Plants by DE highlights the delicious diversity and abundance of plants. You’ll find anything from vegan vanilla pancakes with roasted strawberries to a refreshing baby gem Caesar salad with macadamia parmesan or a warming heritage tomato summer stew with aubergines, chickpeas and delicious pesto.
We make everything in house, including our cultured vegan butter, cashew crème fresh, and crushed walnut parmesan.

The Pavilion at Kensington Palace

The Orangery is now closed for refurbishment and we have relocated to the Pavilion just in front of the Orangery, surrounded by beautiful formal gardens in the grounds of Kensington Palace The Pavilion, a relaxed and elegant setting for breakfast or lunch and the only royal palace in London where you can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. We have a birds eye view of the Sunken Garden and the wiggly walk, which you can enjoy from our covered terrace.

Kensington Palace is now closed for visits to prepare for the new exhibition and will reopen from 13th of December. The Pavilion Restaurant will be open as usual between Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00-16:00.

My young daughter and I had a wonderful afternoon tea! The wait staff were all so kind and accommodating and we felt so welcomed. The menu looks fantastic so we plan to come back and have another meal next time we’re in London.
