A wonderful experience. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly but at times it was difficult to understand her, especially when describing the course. Overall the wait staff was outstanding.

The Oxford House is our go-to place in the vicinity (we live just over the border in NH) for a special meal any time of the year. In Summer we love sitting on the screeded porch and last night we ate in the cozy/casual pub/bar down stairs. Same great food. Same great service. We are grateful to have such a wonderful restaurant so close by.

Fantastic night out. Bar Mezanna came highly recommended and it certainly delivered. Extensive beverage list. Wide choice of plates to share to take advantage of the unique menu. Service was outstanding. It was a tad loud for us but would definitely return.

Our favorite “special occasion” restaurant. The branzino for two is perhaps the most succulent and tender fish I’ve ever had, and the tableside plating by their skilled staff makes it feel very special. Also recommend the grilled octopus appetizer; delicious!

Tables are held for 10 minutes after initial reservation and then your table is forfeited. If the reserved table is forfeited, you will remain on the wait list and seated at the next available table. This may be my new go to spot to catch up with friends! Easy ambiance, friendly (and fast) service that helped with suggestions for tapas. We shared the Cubano sandwich, creamy cauliflower, grilled octopus & fish tacos. All super yummy, served quickly & hot. Great tapas options & a great venue for conversation with a friend I hadn't seen in a few months. Virgin mojitos were also excellent! When I've been here before, it was really loud & difficult for conversation, but this time less so. Maybe because we were seated in the front part of the restaurant & had an early (530) Friday night reservation.

The food and drinks were delicious. The waitress was friendly and helpful but seemed busy, so finding the same waitress when we wanted to add to our order was hard. Overall, it was delicious, and we enjoyed it as a family, so we'll come again.

Excellent choice for a B-day dinner. Blake helped us with everything - from the complementary cocktails to the surprise mini cake with lighted candle to finish. We had a lovely dinner! The Zuppa di Pesce special was outstanding and the clams casino, lobster cake and house salad were also terrific! The chef even stopped by tables to see how everything was. The server was attentive and very nice and the ambience was warm and cozy on a cold snowy evening! Thank you!

Chef-owner Jesse James spent his early career in Boston, working with chefs Moncef Meddeb at L'Espalier and Jasper White at Jasper's, with further experience at other landmark restaurants in New York, France, and Italy. Le Central is the third restaurant he has designed, built, and operated, after Aperto (Est 1992) and Boca Rotis (Est 1997), both in San Francisco. The large painting by Inez Storer on the south wall of the restaurant (which also serves as our logo) is of Jesse's son, Sam (the current General Manager & Beverage Director), and his childhood dog, Skye. Inez wouldn't say who the guy in the chair is.

This was our first visit to Mikes. Our server, George, was top notch. Our dinner and drinks were exceptional. The Rosa salad, while delicious, was a bit hard to eat. I would have preferred the radicchio to be cut up or chopped a little. We were seated in the last booth in the back corner by the bar/restrooms and the loud crashing periodically of wine/bar bottles being disposed of in the bin right by our table, a huge tub of dirty dishes on the floor by bar corner as well as the bathroom traffic were all not the most desirable. I’d ask not to be seated back there next time. Rachel, the manager, was friendly as were all other staff that we encountered at the host stand. Overall, highly recommend Mike’s!

We allow an hour and a half for a reservation of 2 guests and 2 hours for reservations consisting of 3 or more guests. Food and service for our party of 12 were both excellent. Staff is very attentive and on top of things. Great menu choices with quite a few specials. All food came out as close to the same time as possible, all hot (or cold if appropriate). Everyone enjoyed the evening.

Great food and really fun, unique drinks. Love coming here and have visited at least 6-10 times at this point with my wife. Oysters are legit. The food and drinks are consistently great and Eric is such a great dude—he’s the snazzy dressed guy who can be seen running around keeping everything going smoothly. A must try restaurant!!

Outstanding food and service, outdoing the other Old Port restaurants where we have been disappointed by its trendy neighbors. The mussels with garlic appetizer somehow gets better each time we come. Our main courses of scallops with pernod and the whole fish branzino evidence why this restaurant still shines after many years after others have faded away.

We were seated in the wine room which was spacious, attractive, and comfortable. I had a pomegranate martini (delicious) and the salmon special. The salmon was tender and flavorful, and came with crispy roasted potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and nice sautéed green beans. We had a bread basket with two or three kinds of bread and a small scoop of an herbed butter. Dessert was a decaf cappuccino (mmm) and a lovely milk chocolate gelato with a dab of whipped cream. The service was excellent. Highly recommend!

A great spot for a cold winter night. Food is excellent. Our waitress Natalya was helpful and attentive. She pointed out that the large salad I was going to order as an appetizer could be ordered in a smaller version instead of fries for a modest additional charge. Just the sort of thing you appreciate from a server.
