I first discovered the Pearl Dive on a whim when I was visiting DC ahead of moving here. It has to be one of the most fortunate gastro discoveries I’ve made in my life. This place has never disappointed, and I’ve brought family, friends, and my girlfriend here to much delight. This is a rare spot, where the food is amazing but gives good value for price. The vibe is sophisticated but relaxed. You could come dressed up or casual, and still be happy. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food is mind blowing if you’re a fan of seafood and good southern vibe cooking. I recommend always the oysters both cold and hot, and the blackened catfish is also a personal fave. As a European I have to also say that the wine list is outstanding and pleasantly priced. Make the Pearl Dive a must if you’re in DC.

MA for Marco, NA for Naomi, his daughter, and LU for Lucia, his wife. Manalu's goal is to bring a taste of Italy and a touch of Naples in the town, by serving authentic Italian cuisine and the original pizza Napoletana cooked in a brick oven. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, perfect for family and friends. Manalu` also has a full bar and happy hour Mon-Fri from 4pm to 7pm. Happy hour also includes a food menu with delicious appetizers.

Our food choices were excellent. My companion likes eggplant but not mozzarella; the kitchen prepared a very good parmigiana without mozzarella and gave him freshly grated Parmesan at the table to add. The eggplant was tender not mushy and not chewy. I enjoyed the mussels in white wine sauce with spaghetti. The pasta was perfectly prepared. I appreciate the delicious and generous bread basket served with seasoned olive oil. Service was professional and pleasant, attentive but not intrusive. On a Monday evening the restaurant was packed; the inside noise level was high. We chose the enclosed patio which was still fairly noisy but more much more comfortable. We finished our meal with a shared Grandmother cake - more like a tart and delicious and house made lemon cello.

We had a lovely lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious. Portion size a little small. I ordered a cider and was surprised just to receive a wine glass serving rather than a bottle. we were a party of 4. We arrived 15 mins of our reservation but were seated right away. For a Friday night I was impressed. We loved our table tucked away against a window. The service was very good and everyone was friendly. I had the baby back rib dinner. It was so good the meat slid off the bone and was so tender. Another of our guests also had the ribs. All the food was great along with drinks we laughed and talked and ate the night away. We are visitors from Upstate NY and we will come back to the Pig again.

My experience was very good. The service provided the server Mohamud (or Z as he introduced himself) was excellent. He was prompt, attentive, engaging and helpful. My experience was very good. The service provided the server Mohamud (or Z as he introduced himself) was excellent. He was prompt, attentive, engaging and helpful. The food was prepared quickly and had good flavor. The guacamole was small in size for the price and lacked flavor. Overall, my first visit to this location and my party and I enjoyed our visit.
