Metropole Bar & Kitchen highlights a classic west coast cuisine inspired by our culinary team’s heritage and the local community.

Our lobby-level restaurant welcomes guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, available seven days a week.

Much like the rest of our property, Metropole Bar & Kitchen’s design was inspired by muse Anna May Wong, the first Chinese-American international movie star who lived in Downtown L.A. during the early 1900s during the time of prohibition.

Stepping into our dining area is reminiscent of decades past with nods to DTLA’s prohibition era. From our booths and lowered ceilings that embody speakeasies and underground tunnels that once transported spirits and contraband, to the black & white photos of Jazz musicians inspired by the Jazz Era of the 1920s. Glad to have had such a lovely experience last night. Those who served me were cheerful and attentive and my meal was perfectly prepared. Thanks to all, from front-of-house to servers to kitchen. Enjoyed it so much I’ve already reserved for Wednesday evening.

Angel was our bartender and they did a wonderful job of making recommendations on our first visit to Hanger 18. We had the chicken and rice soup (a bit salty) but tasty, the hummus and tzatziki appetizer was fantastic and we had the Hanger Salad with Chicken and that was delicious! We had to have a bite of the fruit cobbler even though we were stuffed! The martinis were excellent! Also need to mention the ambience is very welcoming and modern! Thank you for a great first visit!

The food buffet was good and had lots of option. The bottomless drinks were not very nice. The espresso martini was not nice at all!
