We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.
We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

Visited the area and booked Chef’s table for a birthday meal. Party included two young children who would not be catered for by the menu but the restaurant encouraged contact in advance to ensure appropriate meals were provided. This was excellent service and enabled the parents to enjoy their evening. The evening was a delight. The greeting was warm and the service excellent throughout. Staff were very friendly and attentive, our waitress excellent and the sommelier was very informative when questioned. Clearly loved his subject and added to the meal. The food was excellent throughout. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their dishes and the meal and occasion will live in the memory. Would certainly visit again if we lived in the area.

We cannot recommend this place enough, the food was of exceptional quality. Zoe we were informed was the chef on duty. Mouthwatering dishes. The atmosphere is nicely dimly lit which I love, noting worse then a very brightly lit restaurant, plus it wasn't too noisy - there is lots of wood and soft furnishing to absorb the noise. Perfect for an intimate meal, a couple's meal, a date. The waitress (who was recently back from Canada) was so attentive too and thus the service was excellent. Go if you are a foodie.

I’m a regular visitor to the Queens Arms and booked a table for my wife and I so we could have a drink and watch Wales’ World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening. I was disappointed to find that the game couldn’t be shown as the Wi-Fi wasn’t strong enough to support BBC IPLAYER. We stayed for a couple of drinks and had a dessert from the menu while Cage Fighting was shown on all the screens! The Queens is a great place and the service is always excellent, and it remains my go to spot for catching up with friends on a Saturday afternoon, but please sort the Wi-Fi issues, the place and the staff deserve it. Also the removal of a Camden Hells draught lager still annoys me, it was the best pint in town!

The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.

Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. Your hosts Mike & Julie and their superb team bring a wealth of experience in the trade and have sourced the best in the local area to tempt you.

Combining stunning sea views with delicious home cooking and beautifully kept ales, this is a tastefully refurbished pub with tradition and character at its heart. We’ve taken great care to retain the charm of this historic pub with stone flagged floors, low beamed ceilings and comfortable seating. Delicious and very filling soup, warm, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, great cocktail, cakes and coffee.

A little card with good wishes for my birthday along with a little piece of cake with a Birthday candle, so sweet, thank you. Food was really good and also the service was good, food came out fast and was well cooked. We really enjoyed our meal. The portions are really good, we struggled to go through with our desserts so we had them packed to take home. Will definitely be going back

Annoying a bottle of Prosecco was £39. Very poor from the owners/operators to charge that for a native drink. If I’d have seen the price I wouldn’t have ordered on principle. There seems to be a general consensus that only stupid people drink Prosecco and they’ll pay anything for it!
