The Bar at Alo is adjacent to our main dining room and offer à la carte options as well as a shortened seasonal tasting menu.

At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line.  Traditional moles, sauces and little-known native ingredients are transported to Toronto and infused with the bounty of local Ontario and Canadian produce, for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. One of the best meals I've had in awhile! Worth the wait for a reservation. Tasting menu was a nice touch and George was an amazing server.

The Springwood can be summed up effectively as a neighborhood restaurant, whose values, regarding the menu, focus greatly on locally sourced ingredients, hyper-seasonality, regenerative farming practices and minimizing waste.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life since 2007.

To further their knowledge of the Hospitality industry they made their way to Downtown Toronto, where they were able to hone their crafts working in upscale and well-known restaurants for nine years. The end goal was always assured though, that they would come back to the town that gave them their start and help bring a special space to the place that they grew up.

As you make your way inside, you will be met with warm wood, lush plant life and funky art deco accents. We want this space to feel as though you are stepping into our home and we welcome you all to Come Over for Dinner.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life since 2007.

To further their knowledge of the Hospitality industry they made their way to Downtown Toronto, where they were able to hone their crafts working in upscale and well-known restaurants for nine years. The end goal was always assured though, that they would come back to the town that gave them their start and help bring a special space to the place that they grew up.

As you make your way inside, you will be met with warm wood, lush plant life and funky art deco accents. We want this space to feel as though you are stepping into our home and we welcome you all to Come Over for Dinner.

We came here for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. The food was a fun mix of 2 types of cuisines. We ordered sushi tacos, duck duck, and the gyozagna. Everything tasted really good. When I asked what tea they had, I was not expecting a huge menu with so many choices. I knew of a lot of these teas so it was a pleasant surprise to have more options than just "green tea" or "black tea" in a tea bag. We went with "The Formless One" a Phoenix Oolong. This was the perfect pairing to go with the food. And it was really cool to have them prepare the tea at your table. A bit of a mini show. Our server Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He was very welcoming, took his time with us, and helped explain things when we had questions. He even opened the door and waited for us when we were leaving to say goodbye. This was the perfect dining experience for our anniversary. The servers said happy anniversary to us several times during our meal. The combination of really good food, quality tea, and service at Carino made for the perfect night out for us. I left feeling full and very content.

Food presentation was very unique, flavour and food quality outstanding, and wine paring perfect. Service was impeccable. It's a cozy room with great background music. Chef Adam Ryan and Sommelier Josh Mott really are impressive and I will definitely be returning. My new fave Danforth spot!

In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!

Bar Vendetta distinguishes itself in a space that had previously been a fairly iconic restaurant, The Black Hoof, with a beautiful (and imposing) Douglas fir ‘glass canopy’ and a completely different, 70s colour scheme, modelled (very loosely) on Jen's teen basement bedroom in Scarborough. Nothing says 70s like brown, orange and cream! We didn’t want it to scream ‘Italian restaurant’ because frankly it’s only Italian-ish, using the philosophies of Italian cooking with locally available ingredients and a strong devotion to seasonality. Our pastas all made in house, by long-time chef, Annalisa Latavo and our front of house team is simply a dream! The sort of secret treehouse-feeling back patio is hugely popular in the summer, but we think of it as the perfect restaurant for a colder evening, cozy for tucking into a beautiful plate of pasta, with one of your favourite songs playing while you have a very nice Italian red.

Our food arrived at the perfect pace, allowing us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. Although we didn’t get to try the cocktails, the pasta and small plates were outstanding, with just the right balance of flavors and seasoning. The ambiance was fantastic—from the beautifully decorated walls to the cozy seating, every detail added to the experience. The only thing that could be improved is the music selection, which didn’t quite enhance the atmosphere as much as it could. A more curated playlist could elevate the mood even further. Overall, it's a great spot for a date or a night out, and I’d definitely come back!

Loved the signature martini. A bit different and very enjoyable. Salad with pickled blueberries and candied walnut, delightfully fresh. The rib eye was cooked perfectly. Don’t miss the sourdough ice cream for dessert…very lovely with the Carmel drizzle and crunchy chocolate/coffee topping.

This was a fantastic dinner. We were 4 adults and 1 child… and I was a bit nervous when I saw the white table clothes and fancy vibe - but the service was outstanding. They made our daughter an off-menu kids pasta, offered to bring it out with our apps so she was occupied, and brought her juice and dessert. All of our dinners were great - especially loved the ceviche, oysters that were so fresh, and the pasta special. Not inexpensive but 10/10 would recommend for both food and service.

Had a lovely time at Greystones. A great quiet table, as requested. Front of the house was perfect. New waitress was being shadowed by experienced guy.....he was great....she was fantastic.
