Although this branch of Hawksmoor has an opulent and indulgent restaurant that wows critics, burger fans need to head downstairs. The basement bar with its unusual history has an award-winning team serving some of the best cocktails in the city. Had an enjoyable dinner with 2 friends: service was excellent, enjoyed cocktails. The only reason for 4* is that the burgers that two of us ordered were served rather cold while our other friend’s food (chicken Kiev) was served hot.
