The Salads are great! I tried the Twin Salsa Salad and the nice portions of Green Chile with Guacamole at the center really help to dress this salad, so I only used half of the actual Balsamic dressing.

About the restaurant
Our mission is to open a few restaurants that take care of our guests in every way-treating them like guests in our home, making sure that they feel embraced by the joy with which we extend our hospitality, and making sure that they become entranced by our restaurant. We understand the value of 'regulars' returning weekly and in many cases more frequently. We hope that all of our guests will feel that they belong to a private club, to which we welcome them again and again. M'tucci's Moderno located in Rio Rancho is a sister of our first restaurant, M'tucci's Italian, which is located at Coors and Montano on Albuquerque's West Side. At Moderno, we continue to offer a moderately priced, Italian menu built on a foundation of both traditional and contemporary recipes. The menu, together with the bar (full liquor license) menu, is offered in a contemporary building with black steel elements, high ceilings, and a big garage door that opens to the Sandia Mountains. Inside the steel, we have inserted a more traditional looking wood clad restaurant featuring traditional lighting and Edison bulbs, as well as other playful elements. Our congenial bar and mezzanine offer alternative spaces within which to enjoy M'tucci's food and beverage. Moderno's bar program features our unique shrubs as well as a new collection of original cocktails to complement our food and wine. Our mezzanine can also be reserved for private groups. M'tucci's Moderno is located just west of Presbyterian's Rust Medical Center. At the end of 2016, Jeff Spiegel, Katie Gardner, and John Haas, founders of M'tucci's Restaurants, welcomed five new partners to their ownership team: Austin Leard, Sherri Rivenburgh, Cory Gray, Shawn Cronin and Chris O'Sickey. This ensures that M'tucci's Restaurants are here for the long haul.

My first time since it has changed hands. It is even better which is hard to imagine. Different menu and everything we tried was so good. The desserts reminded me of dining in Europe because many times American desserts are really sweet like sugar sweet. The desserts were flavorful and delicious. We both had the Mar y Tierra and everything from the lobster tail to the shrimp and the hanger steak were perfect. Hanger steak can be tough but you never would have believed it was hanger steak. It was so tender and the flavors of the lobster tail and shrimp were just right, great flavor without losing the pure taste of the lobster or shrimp. I had the pork appetizer and as we ate we were saying how we would be coming back. Its restaurant week so if can, make a reservation because it was only $70 for 3 courses and you will be happy you did. This is what restaurant week is about. Getting locals to try restaurants they may not otherwise. Great atmosphere and perfect for conversation.

In times of large large increases in restaurant prices, smaller portions, bland flavors and so so service, Osteria continues to shine. We had the calamari and crab cakes for appetizers, and they were cooked perfectly. I had an unbelievable fish stew (the halibut melted in my mouth) and my wife had a huge veal shank that you could cut with a fork. Our service was attentive but not obtrusive. Osteria’s wine selections almost always include at least one really great California wine by the glass — last night it was one of our favorites, Bel Glos Telegraph Hill Pinot Noir. All of this, and our bill was under $200 including wine before tip.

About the restaurant
Originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea, formerly Chef of Epazote, has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. His menu is deliberately small, featuring fresh and locally sourced produce and meats when possible.

Nothing evokes the mystery of Mexican cuisine more than mole, a sauce of complex flavors that usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone. Chef Olea is delighted to share his moles that include his "New Mexican Mole" that he created to commemorate Santa Fe’s 400 year anniversary in 2009. The large mural in the main dining room, was painted and presented to Chef Olea by Federico Leon De La Vega, a well- known artist from Mexico City.

The variety of options for Sat/Sunday brunch are quite nice! Very tasty, nice presentation and great service. We sat on the patio n for a bit and then inside. Great views outside and nice ambience inside. I was last here 15 years ago and the property is well maintained and a beautiful blend of New Mexican with some modern touches. Great blend of traditional and new. We will return sooner than 15 years!

Both my wife's dinner (their chicken dish) and mine (Angus filet mignon) were excellent. The chicken entrée came with an orzo asparagus side that was quite tasty. My filet was cooked just as requested (rare) and was tender and quite tasty, as well. My entrée came with asparagus spears that were cooked tender but not over done. We ordered their bread (at a very modest charge) that was very good and came with olive oil and herbed butter. We split their house salad and dessert (cranberry cake), both which were very good. Savoy has an extensive wine list that we chose a bottle from. Our only criticism is the restaurant is very loud, making conversation across our table difficult.
