We gathered here for a Christmas celebration. We were welcomed in right away. The atmosphere was great. A little loud but that is expected in the holidays. The clam chowder was served nice and warm and was delicious. Their bread was good. Their sea bass is not to be missed. Their lobster risotto was excellent. Their Halibut was very fresh. It appears that this restaurant prides themselves on fresh ingredients and it shows through their food. The owner checked on us during our dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for such a great evening. We will return.

Great experience... delicious food..service was excellent. We were placed in room off of main dining room where it was quieter. Main dining room was a little noisy. So we appreciated the quieter room. The only thing I would say that could have been better is that the bread served was NOT already in small slices.... You kinda had to tear off a piece and it was not USER friendly.. They could take a lesson from Landry's Seafood Restaurant in how to serve the bread at the table. Other than that, all was outstanding. We had the octopus appetizer....the BEST octopus appetizer I have ever had and we have tried MANY. The steak was perfect and the salmon was outstanding! The valet parking is kinda tricky...cuz it is on McKinney city street and with a lot of traffic, the valet area really tends to "bottle neck"....so better to go really early or really late for dinner... Last night, my husband, a steak connoisseur, and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Mastro's. It was a pleasure to have the chef Erasmo come out and allow him to select his steak. Chef Giancarlo and his beautiful wife Lisa have created a neighborhood gem where one feels like family instead of unknown diner. The Profumata salad is as delicious as it is pretty, the "Roman-style" lamb chops flavor to die for, pastas and risottos perfect, and last night's special Dover Sole was ethereal. The waitstaff are friendly and knowledgable and make the dining experience warm and inviting. Always such a pleasure coming here!

We celebrated my husband's birthday and the service was top notch! The staff was very attentive to our needs. Overall service was excellent. The waitress accidentally spilled a drink on our table...it was not a problem as accidents happen but the manager still insisted on giving us free appetizers. That was very nice and unnecessary. Highly recommend for you next dining experience!

When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith.

She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food.
