Our server was exceptional. Our food was delicious. My husband had the red fish special. It was prepared perfectly and delicious, as was his French onion soup. I had the prefix dinner with the chopped salad, 7oz filet cooked perfectly with the mushroom crust and mushroom sauce that the server suggested. It was fantastic. I also had the asparagus and wonderful sorbet. Everything was wonderful.

In town from Texas to see a Thunders game. Stopped by for a 50th birthday dinner for my husband’s. The ambiance inside was fun- country western style. Food was fantastic! Love the pulled pork and burnt ends and the pie and bread pudding were fantastic. My picky eaters enjoyed the burger, Mac and cheese, and pulled pork sandwich. Very accommodating. Everyone who worked there was friendly and our waitress was great with helping to put candles on the dessert for my husband. Good times and food. Would recommend and come back!

My wife and I dined here following a spur-of-the-moment afternoon/evening in OKC. We had never been to Whiskey Cake before -- but had heard from some friends that they enjoyed it. We started off with Fried Green Tomatoes. While I have tried them at several places, it was my wife's first bite of this traditional southern snack. These were dipped in a batter, but wasn't too thick or heavy, and served with a remoulade sauce. They came out piping hot, and were enjoyable. My wife had the Fish + Chips -- a HUGE filet of cod, deep fried in a crunchy batter. The cod itself was a nice piece of fish, fairly thick, but cooked very well. I had the Dutch sandwich (sliced beef with peppers and onions). The roll was amazing, the contents extremely flavorful. We each had house-cut fries for our side. The fries were good, texture and appearance what you would expect. I will say, they were too salty for my taste. The salt was very fine -- but you could actually feel it on your fingers from handling the fries. You definitely needed some ketchup or remoulade sauce to cut down on the saltiness. The showstopper, however, was the Whiskey Cake. We took ours to go, because we just didn't have the room -- but didn't want to miss the experience. Once home, I split the generous piece, warmed it for just a few seconds in the microwave, and then applied the bourbon anglaise to the sticky toffee cake (that was coated with pecans), and piled on the homemade whipped cream. OMG. It was sooooo good. I would go back again because our food was good, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop in just for dessert. So, if you go for a burger, sandwich, or some other entree, save enough room (or get it to go like we did), but don't miss the Whiskey Cake at Whiskey Cake!

We started off with Fried Green Tomatoes. While I have tried them at several places, it was my wife's first bite of this traditional southern snack. These were dipped in a batter, but wasn't too thick or heavy, and served with a remoulade sauce. They came out piping hot, and were enjoyable. My wife had the Fish + Chips -- a HUGE filet of cod, deep fried in a crunchy batter. The cod itself was a nice piece of fish, fairly thick, but cooked very well. I had the Dutch sandwich (sliced beef with peppers and onions). The roll was amazing, the contents extremely flavorful. We each had house-cut fries for our side. The fries were good, texture and appearance what you would expect. I will say, they were too salty for my taste. The salt was very fine -- but you could actually feel it on your fingers from handling the fries. You definitely needed some ketchup or remoulade sauce to cut down on the saltiness. The showstopper, however, was the Whiskey Cake. We took ours to go, because we just didn't have the room -- but didn't want to miss the experience. Once home, I split the generous piece, warmed it for just a few seconds in the microwave, and then applied the bourbon anglaise to the sticky toffee cake (that was coated with pecans), and piled on the homemade whipped cream. OMG. It was sooooo good. I would go back again because our food was good, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop in just for dessert. So, if you go for a burger, sandwich, or some other entree, save enough room (or get it to go like we did), but don't miss the Whiskey Cake at Whiskey Cake!
