Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar puts what it does right in its name. This is a place custom designed for fans of local small-batch brews and a well-stocked raw bar. The inside of the restaurant is as cozy and comfortable as one would expect, as it is a relaxed atmosphere similar to a sports bar in the off-season. One of the keys to Upstate's success is its commitment to freshness. So much so that there isn't even a freezer in the building as everything is brought in fresh daily.
Obviously, the oysters and clams are what most patrons come for, and Upstate's selection of west and east coast varieties changes every day, depending on what is available. That's certainly not the only thing on the menu, though. Guests can try out shared plates of house cured salmon, crab cakes, squid salad and even sea urchin.

Delicious food in a fun atmosphere. Very tasty guacamole; platano relleno and pinchho de pollo. The tres leches is extra special with a layer of gauyava paste on top! Service was friendly and prompt. We had a great time. Note: staff ask to turn tables after an hour and the calamari was rubbery— skip it.
I had a wonderful time dining here. The food was excellent! I had the lentil curry. It was very flavorful. The free bottomless ginger tea was a nice touch too.
Absolutely delicious, the proprietor was very nice and attentive, great place to sit and have a warm dinner on a cold day. She gave us three servings of pickles for free because we couldn't stop eating them.
My boyfriend and I discovered this place last summer and it has become both of our favorite restaurants for whenever we just want to eat amazing food. I crave their curry doria and chicken nanban--to the point that I've tried recreating at home from recipes I found online. But they're unbeatable. Not to mention, I love their "sour" drinks. It's a highball (shochu, soda water, ice) mixed with fresh citrus juice that they squeeze right in front of you. Nothing could be more refreshing! It's not a cheap meal, but it's not terribly expensive either. Last time I went with three others, we ordered probably 10 dishes, each getting 1-2 drinks, and it was $40 per person.
Noodle bar was a very nice experience. My wife reallly liked the spicy lychee slushie that was recommended by our server. The pork buns and the donut your self hand rolls were amazing. The noodles were exactly what we needed in a cold Sunday
