The dining room experience was lovely. Our server was attentive but not hovering. The customer service manager made sure the experience was a delight. The bar team leaves a lot to be desired but I’m sure with time they’ll work out their kinks. The espresso martinis are perfect.

Restaurant week dinner--limited menu but every choice was very good and innovative: unusually good hummus with scallion pancakes in place of pita; terrific green papaya caesar; beautifully fried catfish with kimchi potato salad. Bonus for me that the kimchi is made without shrimp powder; and there are always gluten-free and vegan options for full meals. In fact, next week they debut a catfish sandwich on gluten-free bread, with cornmeal to pick up the flavor of the fish breading. Only the smashed cucumbers were underseasoned: they deserved garlic, a little soy sauce and lots more chili. A really fine meal worthy of Tim Ma's reputation.

We always love coming to dine at The Gatsby. The art deco decor is unique and cheerful, it sets the right vibe for dinner with friends. Marcel was welcoming and checked on our table during the meal. Our waitress, Emily, was extremely attentive and provided great recommendations when we had questions The chicken pot pie, meatloaf and brisket sandwich ware equally delicious and perfect for a winter night. Don’t miss the deviled eggs or Reuben rolls for starters.

Other than being so loud I could not hear my companion this was a wonderful meal. The noise may not be avoidable as the location just across from the arena brings loud customers!
