Food was magnificent! Service was outstanding! But like mist restaurants in the North End, they squeeze way too many “seats” into small space. It’s quite loud. Difficult to hear conversations at a table of 4 people. We were there for Christmas Eve so if was busy but I bet on a random Tuesday the experience would be much different and more enjoyable. I will say it was the best of the 3 North End restaurants I went to this week. I had pizza which was amazing! Better than regina. The pistachio martini was delightful!!!
Everything about this place was great. Food was delicious, server was attentive and the feel of the place was exactly what we wanted - the old time Italian feel. We can’t wait to be back!
Wonderful dinner! Salad was super fresh with a lovely light dressing, entree (sausages, vinegar peppers, and potatoes) is absolutely one of the best meals in the neighborhood. Excellent service and ambience.
I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I asked to sit at a high top in the bar and they were able to accommodate that request accordingly so that I could watch the game. The bartender made a fabulous vodka martini, and the margherita pizza is great. At other places they add too much cheese and not enough dough but here they always add the right amount of cheese and the right amount of dough. It wasn’t too chewy but it wasn’t overcooked which is a huge plus for me when eating a pizza. The Tajarin with peas and prosciutto pasta is always tasty.
I always love venturing out to this restaurant and since I moved out of the city I always make the effort to come back to Monica’s.
We love casarecce for a delicious, home made plate of pasta. The staff is friendly and helpful. The space is tight but cozy. I still maintain it’s the best plate of gnocchi pesto in the North End. We will be back!
This is the second time we have visited this fine restaurant. Our meals were delicious and the service was superb.
Being an out of towner, I would highly recommended Villa Francesca.
Great spot. We sat by the window and ordered bolognese, halibut (special) and the veal. Waiter was attentive and everything was perfect. I will be going back to this spot again!
We told them it was our anniversary and they decorated our entire table and gave us specialized menus! The service was incredible the entire night and so was the food!
Aesthetically pleasing! Great menu but unfortunately the food was a bit cold. Drinks were great! Calamari a little too chewy… The waitress and manager were able to work with us on the minor issue.
We go to Amara to see our favorite waiter in the North End, Brian. We ate here two days- yesterday for lunch and again today for lunch. Brian always has a smile and remembers us, which makes us feel special. Wish more waiters were like Brian.
Found this cute romantic Italian restaurant on Yelp and what a find! So cozy, warm and service was excellent. The food was delicious and we enjoyed sharing a Caesar salad with Imported Anchovies, Veal Saltamboca with pancetta and linguine - well done ! Glass of red from Montepulciano - region and a winery we toured in Italy.
The perfect Boston pub experience! They had live music and even Irish dancing going on while we were there, but we were tucked away at a table in the back so we could have conversation . The food was excellent; awesome fish and chips, pigs in the blanket, beef stew, and Sam Adams beer of course! Beautifully decorated for the holidays. This is a must do while in Boston !
This place is a hidden gem in Boston. The ambiance is excellent, fun place to hang out with great food and drinks (not too mention the fact that the cups were really cool - the shark is priceless).
I would highly recommend this spot.
Excellent food, suitable for clients. The rotisserie chicken is amazing as is anything made with it. The music was a little loud at lunch but otherwise it's a great option for downtown dining.
