My wife and I had not been to Malbec for years and we went there for our anniversary. The service was friendly and efficient. The skirt steak was outstanding, prepared perfectly for medium rare, pink and still bloody. The arroz con mariscos (paella) was a big disappointment. The shellfish were fine but the shrimp and even the scallops were tasteless. I would like to have been able to purchase a bottle of wine for less than $49 but since the ANKO Malbec retails for approximately $20 a bottle a 150% markup is reasonable. The only real issue I had was the noise level. We had a 6:45 PM reservation and we were seated in the Annex which was just fine but the noise level was such that my wife and I were initially literally shouting at one another to be heard. Malbec is a place that does a good business for early diners. By 7:30 many of the tables emptied and the noise level was such that you could carry on a conversation at a normal level. My wife and I will definitely return but I can assure you we will only order meat which is clearly this restaurant’s forte and we will make a 7:30 reservation.

Malbec is consistently delicious as are the service and ambience! Our go-to favorites are beet & pear salad, empanadas (the BEST), spinach chicken, pastas, & for dessert, the crepes! Noise was so high we couldn’t hear our waiter. They did move us to outside. Service was slow.

As usual, the food at Malbec was excellent and ambience lovely. Special shout out to our server Loren who was beyond superb. Wonderful, wonderful experience.

I loved the experience! Our server, busser and food runner were amazing, making us feel well taken care of and being so kind and sweet. It was my boyfriend's birthday, and he loved the experience too!

Excellent service by Lauren. He provided us with great recommendations. We had the paia and skirt steak. Both really good! It was my girlfriend's birthday. We had a great dessert, and they made it a special night. Thank you!
